Dr. Aguirre returned to Colorado to complete a fellowship in urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery under the training of Dr. G. Willy Davila at the Colorado Gynecology and Continence Center in Denver, Colorado’s first urogynecology practice and fellowship training center. At the end of his training, Dr. Aguirre took over as the practice’s medical director.

I'm glad you sent in this question. Yes, of course, it is possible, but why would you want that? This would result in an abnormal and disfigured appearance.
If your desire is small labia then request this of your surgeon, but you still want it to look aesthetically pleasing in the end. To accomplish this, you should identify a surgeon who is skilled at reducing the prepuce (hood) as much as possible and then reduce the labia so they both flow well together.

Thanks for your excellent question and accompanying photos. You have prominent redundant lateral prepuce, bilaterally, which extend down towards the lateral aspect of each labia minora. This combination is what gives your labia so much volume and likely why you are so displeased with it. Every patient needs her own personalized labiaplasty to achieve a natural, aesthetically pleasing appearance. Most women I've operated on prefer a lighter color to their labial edge which is why a wedge reduction alone would not be sufficient. Many also have have redeundant lateral prepuce which requires reduction. Addressing both concerns can be achieved via a combination of procedures.

Laser vaginal resurfacing with Femilift is great for vaginal looseness and dryness, as well as for stress incontinence and recurrent bladder infections. It does not, however, create skin tightening and thus not a good option for labia majora laxity.
A great Femilift applcation to the vulva, or outer vaginal areas, is Lichen Sclerosus, not laxity.

The quality of the outcome shouldn't be based on the post op appearance alone. The goal in performing a vaginoplasty with perineoplasty isn't only to eliminate the gaping of the vagina, but it is also to restore the pelvic floor musculature while optimizing sexual function and pleasure.
