Any retinoid may come with an initial purge, but typically this doesn't last over 90 days. It may be time for your specialist to re-evaluate your medications. Differin is the most mild of all of the retinoids, so you may need something stronger.
I recommend going to a specialist for an evaluation of your regimen.

Thank you for your question.
I would recommend Adapaline, also known as Differin. This product is now available over the counter at most pharmacies and big box retail stores. This is a retinoid which will help give your skin a glow.
I would also recommend a Vitamin C serum, just make sure you don't use it at the same time as the Benzoyl Peroxide. They can be used together, just not at the same time.

Thanks for your question. There are many different variables at play here, and your problem could be caused from a few different things.
As you mentioned that you have never used Glytone on your chest or back, and you weren't having this problem before, it may be worth discontinuing this product on those areas.
I would recommend you take a break from any abrasive products and visit a specialist for an in person consultation.

First - IMMEDIATELY stop using Betamethasone on your face. This is a medium to high potency topical steroid which is NOT to be used on the face. This can actually cause a flare of acne in and of itself.

There is no simple answer to your problem. There are many variables that come into play such as age, gender, and other hormonal fluctuations. I would recommend that you visit a dermatology clinic to get on a good prescription regimen. This typically includes a good face wash and a retinoid.
