Lipofreeze Vs Coolsculpting

Lipofreeze is a device for reducing fat deposits by cryolipolysis (fat splitting by cooling).

Both the method and the machine itself were created by scientists from Harvard (USA) D. Meinstein and R. Anderson.

The idea originated in the early 2000s: the basis was the discovery and study of the mechanisms of apoptosis (genetically programmed cell death), for which in 2002, scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology.

Already in 2009, they created Lipofreeze device, which was later approved by the Office of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of America.

The goal: to reduce fat deposits by using low temperatures (even resistant to other methods – exercise, diets).

Contraindications: allergy to cold, pregnancy, breast-feeding, diabetes, obesity, scar in the treatment area.

CoolSculpting Can Freeze And Eliminate Up To 25 Percent Of The Fat Cells

Effect: one procedure starts the processes of natural death (apoptosis) of fat cells, which leads to a 20-25 percent reduction in the thickness of the fat fold.

Results are manifested within 1-2 months.

Course: for one zone 1-2 procedures are sufficient with a periodicity of 2 months.

The duration of the procedure is 1 hour.

Cryolipolysis on the Lipofreeze device with a high degree of safety and comfort carries out a selective effect on fat without damaging other tissues and reduces fat deposits when other methods do not work.

Coolsculpting is a comfortable, painless procedure that does not require a recovery period, which has a minimal amount of contraindications.

Cryolipolysis is a decrease in temperature in the subcutaneous fat, which leads to the death of fat cells.

The device acts on the problem area localized, does not damage the vascular system, without affecting the muscles and other tissues. The process of death and removal of fat cells from the body (apoptosis), for the body is natural, there is no negative effect on internal organs.

CoolSculpting Is The Only FDA Approved Non-surgical Fat Reduction Treatment

Zeltiq is the first device in the world that allows non-invasive cryolipolysis to get rid of excess fatty deposits and fatty “traps” forever.

Just one procedure with a length of not more than an hour will allow you to find a slender body shape, of which you have long dreamed!

In record time, the Zeltiq procedure won the entire civilized world. The device enjoys growing popularity among people who pay maximum attention to their body: actors, photomodels, politicians, businessmen and other public people.

The merits of Zeltiq has already been appreciated by half of Hollywood movie stars, including men.

The essence of technology

The procedure on the Zeltiq apparatus consists in the purposeful and high-precision effect of cold on body fat cells in problem areas. The fat fold is clamped between applicators of the device and is subjected to intensive cooling.

As a result, for 1 procedure, up to 25% of adipose tissue perishes in it. The procedure does not have any harmful effect on the surrounding tissue – muscle, nervous, vascular, etc.

LipoFreeze Is One Of The Newest Treatments

A short time after the procedure begins the process of natural death of lipocytes (fat cells), which can last up to 4 months. Such a gradual dying off of frozen cells ensures the absence of harmful decomposition products formed during the rapid decomposition of fats, and will reduce the risk of side effects almost to zero.

Advantages

  • The procedure is as comfortable as possible and does not require anesthesia. The patient feels cold only at the very beginning of the procedure;
  • Coolsculpting on the Zeltiq device is a unique opportunity to find the desired contours for those who for some reason do not decide on plastic surgery;
  • The procedure is extremely effective and has practically no contraindications;
  • There is no recovery period. After the session, the patient can return to his habitual way of life, which is especially important for busy and business people;

LipoFreeze Is The Generic Version Of Coolsculpting

The procedure is almost completely non-traumatic, which distinguishes it from other methods.

New CoolMini applicator!

A new attachment for eliminating the second chin, jawls (surplus fatty tissue along the line of the lower jaw is a characteristic manifestation of age-related gravitational ptosis of tissues).

The Cool mini nozzle adjusts the shape of the following zones:

  • chin
  • knees
  • underarm
  • men’s breasts.

Rox Anderson (MD); The Wellman Center for Photomedicine at the Wellman Center for Photomedicine (Massachusetts General Hospital, MGH) and the Harvard Medical School. In early studies, the hypothesis was advanced that fat cells are hypersensitive to cold – more sensitive than skin, nerves and muscle tissue.

How does Cryolipolysis® work?

Cryolipolysis is a non-invasive cooling of fat cells to stimulate lipolysis without damaging other tissues and structures.

High-precision cooling ensures safety, since it only affects fat cells, without affecting the skin, nerves and muscle tissue.

The proposed mechanism of action is the crystallization of lipids in fat cells:

  • Apoptotic death of fat cells, followed by cell decay and gradual release of lipids;
  • A natural inflammatory process leads to a thinning of the fat layer.

System Safety: Freeze Detect®

Cooling panels are equipped with thermistors to measure the temperature of the tissue.

The LipoFreeze Procedure Uses Advanced Cryolipolysis To Freeze Fat Cells

If the thermistors detect an unexpected temperature deviation, the Freeze Detect function will immediately stop the procedure and report its termination.
With careful planning of treatment, proper placement of the applicators and several cycles of the procedure, the Cryolipolysis® method can lead to results comparable to the results of liposuction.

Non-invasive cryolipolysis for thinning the subcutaneous fat layer does not affect the serum lipid levels and the results of liver tests.

Significant trends or changes in the level of cholesterol, triglycerides and liver function were not observed.

Contraindications to the procedure

Cryoglobulinemia is a very rare disease in which a large number of cryoglobulin proteins are present in the blood.
Proteins thicken on contact with the cold.
Symptoms may vary depending on the type and the affected organs, but include skin problems, fatigue, muscle / joint pain, breathing disorders, necrosis.

There Is No Required Down Time After A LipoFreeze Treatment

Paroxysmal cold hemoglobinuria.This is an extremely rare disease. Antibodies bind to erythrocytes at low temperatures.
Antibodies destroy red blood cells, moving along the body, and return to body temperature.

After cell destruction, hemoglobin is released into the blood and removed in the urine.
The acute degree of the disease is usually transient and goes untreated.

Cold agglutinin disease is a rare blood disease.

Cold agglutinins (antibodies) are produced in the bone marrow. High levels of these antibodies can occur when the functioning of the immune system is compromised.

They are activated by low temperatures and cause gluing of the red blood cells with which they are attached. This leads to an autoimmune reaction, which prematurely destroys the red blood cells (to hemolysis).

LipoFreeze – Another Fat Freezing Procedure?

LipoFreeze is a new fat freezing procedure that is being advertised at some cosmetic Spas. The Lipo Freeze procedure uses similar science to that which is behind Zeltiq, but I find the whole thing very suspect.

There isn’t a whole lot of information out there that backs this process. I can find no scientific studies that have used this particular process, and I can’t find anywhere that the FDA has proved this process. This supposed freeze liposuction technique seems to be relatively unheard of until recently.

LipoFreeze vs Zeltiq CoolSculpting

I think there is no contest to which is better here. Coolsculpting has studies backing its safety and effectiveness, and it has been approved by the FDA. I can’t find anything similar to this information regarding LipoFreeze, and it seems to be an attempt to capitalize on the product without putting it through proper vetting processes.

I definitely recommend sticking with licensed Zeltiq CoolSculpting practitioners if you’re looking for fat freeze lipo, and skipping on the LipoFreeze.
