Is CoolSculpting Effective For Saddlebags?
Is CoolSculpting effective for Saddlebags?
CoolSculpting does an amazing job treating Saddlebags, and is also very effective on the inner thighs as well. Unfortunately, it is difficult to say if you are a candidate without photos, but generally speaking, if one has a pronounced bulge on the outer thigh, CoolSculpting can take care of it.
We have treated thousands of patients with outer thigh issues, and they have been thrilled with the results. I would recommend having a consultation with a CoolSculpting provider that has plenty of experience using the CoolSmooth Pro applicators for the treatment of the outer thighs.
Most patients need more than one treatment to achieve optimal results. (Edward Stokes, MD, West Hollywood Physician)
Is CoolSculpting a good option for my saddle bags?
CoolSculpting is an excellent option for saddlebags, but without a photo of your areas of concern I cannot comment specifically about your situation. There is a certain size, location and shape of the outer thighs that makes people ideal candidates for this option.
I suggest you consult with a body contouring center so you may be offered all your options. (Oscar A. Aguirre, MD, FPMRS, FACOG, Denver Urogynecologist)
CoolSculpting for saddlebags
CoolSculpting can treat saddlebags well. It takes up to 4 months for the full results (a little longer than the other areas). It would be best to go to a reputable office to do this procedure since using the flat paddle can leave indentations on your leg if it is not placed properly. (Tianna Tsitsis, MD, Mount Vernon Physician)
CoolSculpting works best for individuals who are at a healthy weight and just need to minimize a problem area. It works great on the saddlebag area!
However you need to have a full, in person consultation, to determine the right treatment plan for you. (Janet Allenby, DO, Delray Beach Dermatologic Surgeon)
Saddlebags can be treated with the flat handpieces from Coolsculpting. These special handpieces don’t have the vacuum associated with them because the fat in this area is usually not pinchable fat. Often times, more than one treatment is needed.
I always use the Zimmer Z wave with these treatments to maximize results. (Steven F. Weiner, MD, Panama City Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Say yes to Coolsculpting and goodbye saddlebags
Coolsculpting is an amazing treatment option to treat saddlebags and other problematic areas. It is quick, non surgical and with no downtime. Coolsculpting will eliminate stubborn fat, up to 25 % per treatment area. At our clinic, we add the Z Wave Pro to Coolsculpting treatments for better and faster results.
I recommend consulting with a Cool certified practice for a proper consultation and see if you are a good candidate to Coolsculpting as Coolsculpting may not be for everyone. (Alain Michon, MD, Ottawa Physician)
Saddlebags can be treated with Coolsculpting
CS can be used to treat saddlebags. At the time of consultation, my certified CS specialists place applicators over areas of concern to make sure they fit properly, and make sure there is excess fat, not just loose skin, that is present.
The new advantage applicators have made treatments faster and more comfortable-an in person examination is essential. Practioners that certified through CoolSculpting University have the most advanced training. (Vaishali B. Doolabh, MD, FACS, Jacksonville Plastic Surgeon)
CoolSculpting can be used to treat saddlebags. An examination of you would really be needed to determine if you might be a good candidate for the procedure or not. (Michael I. Echavez, MD, San Francisco Facial Plastic Surgeon)
The CoolSmoothPro applicator for CoolSculpting works well to reduce “saddlebags” (lateral thigh fat) in properly selected patients, with reduction of 20-25% of the subcutaneous fat volume in the areas treated.
An experienced CoolSculpting provider will be able to discuss your anticipated results after doing an in-person evaluation. (Roby F. Hayes, MD, Portland Physician)
Saddlebag treatment
The saddlebags are treated with a smooth non-suction applicator. The applicator takes 75 minutes per side. There are old smooth non-suction applicators that were about 2 hours per side, however, most clinics have upgraded to the newest technology.
I would suggest partnering up with a Doctor who offers these new, shorter timed applicators. (Paul Flashner, MD, Boston Physician)
Coolsculpting saddle bags (outer thigh) with Coolsmooth Pro applicator takes 45 minutes per side.
There are many options to treat the saddle bags or outer thighs. Coolsculpting is definitely one way. It typically takes two to three sessions on each side.
The newer Coolsculpting Coolsmooth Pro applicator provides the same surface freezing in 75 minutes per outer thigh per session than the original coolsmooth applicator did in 90 min.
In my office and as an ABMS board certified Plastic Surgeon, I perform ALL the patient evaluations for fat reduction so that each patient best understands ALL their options to sculpt and contour the area in question.
If you choose to use Coolsculpting for the outer thigh instead of laser liposuction (a local anesthesia procedure using the Smart Lipo technology) I will demonstrate the way I will need to place the flat Coolsculpting Coolsmooth Pro applicator on the outer thigh to effectively reduce the fat bulge or pocket.
Because the outer thigh saddle bag is typically a wider raised area and the applicator lies flat and contours over the bulge, you will typically need to return a total of 2-3 times so that I can 3 dimensionally contour the area to reduce the bulge and sculpt it properly.
For many patients this is very effective because as you wait 6-8 weeks between sessions, your outer thigh skin has the time to shrink over the area that was treated with coolsculpting that has frozen the fat bulge and then reduces fatty pocket.
I prefer to wait until this fat reduction occurs after each session so that the end result is an improved contour of the outer thigh by reducing the fat prominence with the Coolsculpting Coolsmooth pro applicator. (Laurie A. Casas, MD, FACS, Chicago Plastic Surgeon)
Saddlebag treatment time
The saddlebags are treated with the flat non suction devise called the Cool Smooth Pro. It takes 1 hr and 15 minutes per side.
The older flat applicator took 2 hrs per side. Get someone with the new applicator. (Maurice M. Vick, Jr., MD, Baton Rouge Urologist)
There are two versions of the applicator for the outer thigh, known as “saddlebags.” Neither of them use suction. The older version was a straight plate, whereas the newer (and much better version) is the CoolSmooth Pro and has curved edges to the plate (still no suction) to better contour to the skin/body.
The older applicator was used for 2 hours on each side whereas the newest version is applied for only 75 minutes. Having experience with both, I can say that the newest version is better. (Warren B. Seiler III, MD, Birmingham Physician)
The CoolSculpting procedure is on the newer side of things, many patients are unaware of the fact that different machines are used at different offices. This is why you see different doctors advertising a different range of time and price. I would just discuss with your doctor or several other physicians what would be right for you at this juncture. (Vinay Aggarwal, MD, Los Angeles Physician)
Cool smooth
The applicator for the saddlebags called the coolsmooth used to take 1 hour and 45 minutes each side . The updated coolsmooth pro in 2015 deceased the time to 1 hour and 15 minutes per side, In consult I tell patients a little more time they will ” be in the office “because this accounts for photographs , paperwork , etc.
So true treatment time with the advanced applicator coolsmooth pro is 2 hours and 30 minutes but I tend to tell patients expect to be in the office for 3 hours of time. (Drew Varano, MD, Washington DC Physician)
Treatment time depends on which outer thigh or “saddlebag” applicator they have at that particular practice. The first one that was introduced for this area was the CoolSmooth and it took 2 hrs per side (4 hrs total) for an outer thigh treatment.
The CoolSmooth Pro was then released which shortened the treatment cycle time to 1hr 15mins per side (2.5 hrs total). I would call the office and discuss with them which applicator they have and how long do they expect you to be in the office for the treatment. (Jason D. Bloom, MD, Philadelphia Facial Plastic Surgeon)
