Can you have Dual CoolSculpting on the lower abdomen?
Dual Sculpting on the Abdomen
Jan 7, 2020
Thank you for your inquiry. Generally, when treating the abdominal area, the treatment plan will reflect overlapping of the applicators. This is done to avoid leaving any unwanted fat behind. What dual sculpting refers to is having two applicators placed and treating at the same time. Because of the overlap, this is not possible. Dual sculpting requires two machines and is often used when treating different areas of the body at the same time.

Thermal Event on chin

Although there is no harm being on the applicator for the remaining 19 min of your cycle, there was no benefit either. The suction is still being applied, but the cold is not. They should have removed the applicator and started all over. You did not get a full treatment if you did not make it at least 40 minutes and you should be treated again.
Would CoolSculpting be the right option for me to get rid of stubborn post-pregnancy belly fat? (Pho
CoolSculpting post pregnancy
Feb 27, 2019
CoolSculpting has definitely worked post pregnancies, but it really depends on the laxity of your skin. A technician would need to feel your abdomen to better decide if you are a candidate or not. However, have you been diagnosed with a hernia? It looks like you have one in your photo and an untreated hernia is a contraindication to CoolSculpting. You would have to have that repaired first before you could be treated.
What if CoolSculpting pad fell off during treatment?
Completion of Cycle
Feb 19, 2019
A cycle is not considered “completed” until there is five minutes remaining. If for some reason there is a thermal event or loss of contact, the cycle will need to start over unless there is only 5 minutes left. Depending on which area is being treated, sometimes you may have to come back 24 hours later to have that area re-treated. Example: If your cycle is 35 minutes and there is loss of contact 29 minutes into treatment (6 minutes remaining), the cycle should be redone. I hope that this…
Do the arms require 1 or 2 applicators per treatment?
How Many Applicators are Needed to Treat the Arms
Nov 20, 2018
The number of applicators needed for each patient varies. When doing an assessment, we are looking to see where the “scallop” slopes up towards the elbow. We will treat from the armpit forward. If one applicator does not encompass the entire scallop, a second one would be needed. You don’t want to leave anything untreated as you will then have a fat bulge in the area that was omitted. Good luck with your treatment.
Should I continue my CoolSculpting treatments after being in pain from my first treatment?
Symptoms Following Coolsculpting
Nov 12, 2018
The symptoms that you are experiencing following your coolsculpting treatment are typical for many patients. The swelling should go down within a few weeks. You are going to feel numb in the area for possibly 2-4 weeks. I would check in with your coolsculpting specialist and let them know what your symptoms are.

CoolSculpting results in permanent cell death so if you are wanting those fat cells for later in your life, then I wouldn’t suggest CoolSculpting for you.

Amount of applicators
Oct 24, 2018
The amount of applicators needed to treat an abdomen varies from person to person. It all depends on how much volume there is to treat. That being said, 2 large applicators for the lower abdomen and then 4 more for the middle and upper abdomen is very common in our practice. 6 applicators done for one round of treatment is not out of the ordinary.
As for discomfort using 6 applicators, it really shouldn’t be worse than if 2 or 4 were used. You will be sore t…
Will fat freezing work when you have high cholesterol?
High Cholesterol
Aug 27, 2018
Thank you for your question. High cholesterol is not a contraindication to having coolsculpting treatments. However, a consultation with a coolsculpting specialist would be advised to determine if you are a candidate for treatment.

Burning sensation at start of treatment
Aug 3, 2018
Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to have or feel a burning sensation at the start of treatment. Everyone’s body responds differently to the cooling temperature. The burning sensation should disappear after 10-15 minutes into the cycle.
Is one CoolSmooth Pro Applicator by zeltiq coolsculpt sufficient to de-bulk upper abdomen by 25%?
Abdomen Treatment
Aug 3, 2018
Thank you for your question. If your goal is to “debulk”, there is a specific applicator meant just for that. The Pro applicator does not have a vaccuum to pull the tissue into. Thus, our larger applicator with a vaccuum would be more ideal.
If your focus is to be treated based on your budget, you may want to find an office that offers 0% financing (such as CareCredit or Green Sky). This would allow you to move forward with the “ideal” treatment plan presented by your…

Eliminate Belly Pooch
Jul 30, 2018
Hello,
Thank you for your question and your attached photo. Based on your picture, it appears that you would be an ideal candidate for coolsculpting. The procedure kills off 20-25% of fat cells with each procedure. Final results would be seen 90 days after treatment. You should consult with a local coolsculpting specialist for an assessment.

Coolsculpting is considered a cosmetic procedure and would not be covered by any insurance plan.
CoolSculpting on previously liposuctioned area?
Coolsculpting After Liposuction
Jun 17, 2018
Yes, you can have coolsculpting done after having liposuction; provided that there is pinchable fat. Let the specialist know that you have had liposuction. We just treated a patient a few months ago that had lipo on his abs about 20 years ago. We did one round of treatment to start with and his pictures at 60 days were showing amazing results. He is going to wait the full 90 days before deciding whether to have another round of treatment. The size applicator that is needed will be determined…
What’s the best post-care after CoolSculpting?
Post care after CoolSculpting
Jun 4, 2018
One of the great things about CoolSculpting is there is no down time after treatment! Feel free to workout tonight if you choose! The 2 minute massage is only effective immediately after taking off the applicator so there is no need to massage the area when you get home. Make wise food choices and continue to live a healthy lifestyle and you should see your results within 3 months.
