Coolsculpting should only be performed on appropriate candidates, but is completely safe and FDA-approved. The applicator only reaches temperatures necessary to freeze fat cells (-11 degrees), but not low enough to damage tissue, skin, or organs.
When performed at a Certified CoolSculpting Center such as our practice, lumpiness is not a concern. However, it is true that lesser practices may not adhere to proper protocol and in those cases lumpiness may occur.
