Botox Cosmetic is safe after surgery as long as there are no neurological and allergic contraindications. In general, Botox may be given before, after, and sometimes during anesthesia for surgery. Although the discomfort from injections is minimal, it is completely avoidable by combining with other surgical procedures requiring sedation.

If you can pinch an inch you are a candidate for CoolSculpting! Not all patients experience pain. The pain they are experiencing is called neuropathic pain. Nerve fibers may be temporarily stimulated by the extreme cold. You should be given a prescription for a pain medication specifically for neuropathic pain. Patients typically have pain 3-7 days after treatment and it resolves in a few days.

This problem may be addressed via two modalities. 1. 2 units of Botox in the left upper lip line may allow the left upper lip to "roll outward" thereby improving symmetry. 2. Another option is to place a small amount of filler in the left upper lip to improve symmetry. I personally would recommend the botox option first since it is more cost effective.
