It is not recommended to have a CoolSculpting procedure just prior to an invasive medical procedure. Although there have been no clinical studies to determine if there are any contraindications, it is best practice to wait until after any pertinent medical concerns are cleared by primary physician prior to having a cosmetic procedure done.

CoolSculpting does not affect homeostasis of the body. Initially, CoolSculpting causes local inflammation with some bruising and swelling in some patients, however it self-resolves generally within two weeks. CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis to crystalize and destroy fat cells. The dead fat cells are then eliminated through the natural inflammatory process and removed via the lymphatic system. In the clinical research studies done, patients did not show any significant change in bloodwork...
