When Dr. Sperling founded Sperling Dermatology in 2016, she had one major goal in mind: to help her patients look and feel incredible in their skin. Since then, her office has become one of New Jersey’s most recognized dermatology practices.

She offers her patients a wide range of innovative procedures, including Botox, dermal fillers, Kybella, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, PRP injections (aka Vampire Facials), near-infrared skin tightening, and IPL photofacials, as well as laser skin resurfacing, laser hair removal, and tattoo removal.

Dr. Sperling is also known for her mastery of noninvasive body sculpting procedures, such as CoolSculpting, Emtone, Evoke, and Emsculpt. In fact, Sperling Dermatology quickly became the number-one CoolSculpting provider in New Jersey. By 2019, it was named the number-one provider in the entire United States.

After graduating from Binghamton University, Dr. Sperling went on to earn her medical degree at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed an internship at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and two residencies in family practice and dermatology at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, New York. Dr. Sperling was chief resident during both of these residencies.

Dr. Sperling holds the title of fellow in both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. She is also a member of the American Medical Association and the Dermatological Society of New Jersey.

Throughout her career, she has been sought out for her knowledge and expertise. She has contributed to various medical journals and serves on the panel for the National Disease and Therapeutic Index.

Answer Snippet
Does Coolsculpting Work on Inner Thighs?
Coolsculpting inner thighs works!
Jun 26, 2018
Coolsculpting is a non- invasive procedure to reduce fat cells in the area that is targeted. Coolsculpting can be done on the arms, abdomen, bra fat, love handles (flank), double chin, and inner and outer thighs.
It is best to get a consultation to see if you are a candidate and what the best treatment plan is for you.
Can the neck area ( double chin ) be treated by cool sculpting and what is the cost?
Coolsculpting treats Double Chin
Jun 26, 2018
Coolsculpting works very well for a double chin. Depending on your anatomy and size of area, you may need 1-2 treatments for the best outcome.

Coolsculpting info
Jun 26, 2018
Thanks for your question. Coolsculpting is a non- invasive treatment with minimal side effects or downtime. The suction feels like a strong pull on the skin, and then the skin feels cold. After a few minutes, you don’t feel much. My patients often watch Netflix, read a book, do work, or even take a nap during the procedure.
The suction and temperature control is monitored and maintained throughout the treatment.
After the procedure, you can have some mild discomfort and…
How Long Does the Coolsculpting Procedure Last and How Many Treatments Are Needed?
Coolsculpting Procedure
Jun 26, 2018
Thanks for your question.
A typical Coolsculpting procedure for the arms, abdomen, flank (love handles), or inner thighs are 35 minutes. The outer thighs are 75 minutes and chin is 45 minutes. If larger areas are done with the max applicator (which treats 2 1/2 times the area as a regular applicator), that treatment is also 45 minutes.
Our office currently has 3 machines, so multiple areas can be treated at the same time, reducing the time of treatment significantly.

Can you get laser treatment one day before you going to beach or after you come back from bea
Laser and Sun
Mar 12, 2017
You didn’t specify what laser treatment you are getting, but in general, it is best to avoid sun exposure a few weeks prior to and after laser treatment. Speak with with your dermatologist so they can review the details with you. Have a good trip- don’t forget your sunscreen!
Do dermatologists still prescribe Accutane (or generics of Accutane) or is it too dangerous?
Medications
Oct 20, 2015
Acne can be very frustrating, especially after several years of dealing with it. There are different types of acne and different treatments according to how mild or severe the acne is. If your son has tried several oral antibiotics and topicals without success, ask your dermatologist if they think he is a good candidate for Accutane. Sometimes it takes several medications to find the ones that work best. Good luck.
I have acne and dark spots that won’t clear. Any suggestions?
Acne
Jul 1, 2015
There are many different treatment options for acne that your local dermatologist can give you depending on how severe your acne is, location of acne, and skin type. Dark marks from acne can take time to go away, but wearing sunscreen daily will help prevent the dark areas from becoming darker when exposed to the sun.
How to fade melasma naturally, is it treatable?
Melasma
Jul 1, 2015
Melasma can occur to women who are pregnant, on birth control, or going through menopause. The most important thing you can do is to use sunscreen daily with SPF 30 or higher with zinc or titanium. There are several bleaching creams, peels, or laser treatments also available to treat the pigmentation.
I had a mole removed and it’s seeping and hurting. Should I keep it covered?
Healing biopsy site
Jun 3, 2015
It sounds like your biopsy site may be infected. It would be a good idea to follow up with your dermatologist as you might need some topical or oral antibiotics. In the meantime, keep it clean and apply some bacitracin or aquaphor to the area.
I’m using Epiduo but it stings and drys out my face, what can I do? I want my pimples gone forever
EpiDuo
Jun 3, 2015
EpiDuo is a good medication. Make sure you are using it correctly- On a dry face (about 20 minutes after you wash your face) apply a small amount, the size of a green pea on your finger, and spread that amount all over your face. You may be using too much which can cause dryness and irritation. If you are using it correctly and it is still irritating, you may have an allergy to benzoyl peroxide and should see your physician to switch medications.
