How can one treat skin atrophy from a cortisone injection on the face?
Management of atrophy due to corticosteroid injection
Sep 28, 2020
The good news is that, even without treatment, the corticosteroid-induced atrophy will gradually resolve. Flushing the affected area with saline will help to decrease the concentration of any residual corticosteroid at the site. The area can also be injected with hyaluronic acid filler to reduce the appearance of the atrophy until it resolves.
What treatment could I get to even out my jawline/jowls?
Botox vs. Filler to enhance the jawline
May 9, 2020
Based on your photo, filler would be a better option to enhance your jawline. Botox in your masseter muscles alone would likely accentuate your jowls due to loss of volume at the angle of your jaw.
What amount and where would I need Botox to remove the 11s and forehead wrinkles?
Natural look following Botox
Mar 9, 2020
It’s typically a lack of movement in the forehead (and crow’s feet) that results in an unnatural look following Botox. I don’t think people notice a lack of movement between the brows (glabella). To effectively smooth the ‘11s’ it’s best to completely immobilize the glabella, and for many women a dose of 20 units will do this. I start with a dose of 5 u of dilute Botox in the forehead for those patients who prefer to retain natural movement in…
Neck lines and marionette lines; already tried microneedling, will fillers be a better option? (Ph
Marionette and neck lines
Feb 2, 2020
Microneedling is most effective for the treatment of fine lines, acne scars, and stimulating collagen to rejuvenate the skin. Marionette lines result from volume loss and the descent of facial tissues, and are best addressed with hyaluronic acid fillers. Combination treatment with Radiesse and Ultherapy is an effective treatment for improving neck lines and skin quality on the neck and chest.
Can I get a lip flip on Accutane?
Botox while taking Accutane
Jan 4, 2020
Yes, you can go ahead and receive Botox injections for a lip flip and other indications while taking Accutane.
Why does my forehead looks like it has horns and can I reduce them?
Forehead
Jan 1, 2020
The bony protuberances of your upper forehead likely appear more prominent due to volume loss above your brows (most evident in profile picture). Filler in these areas can help to recreate a smooth, youthful convex forehead.
Can I have Botox done if there is a bump on my forehead from an injury?
Botox brow lift
Jan 1, 2020
Injection of Botox in the forehead and near the lateral brows for a Botox brow lift can be accomplished with superficial injections and would not be contraindicated.
