In our office we do not offer this type of incision. This incision often widens over time and doesn't heal the best. This is then seen in bathing suits, tank tops, and dresses. In our office we use a IMF incision which is located in the crease of the breast. The only way this incision is seen is if you put your arms up over your head.

As a rule of thumb in our office we tell patients that they can go 1.5cm smaller or larger based off their base diameter. I would contact the office you had your consultation with and discuss the sizes he recorded in your patient file so that you are making accurate sizers at home.

How many cm can one deviate from its BWD while choosing implants?

In our office we tell patients to stay within 1.5cm of their base width. You don't want an implant that is to small and doesn't fill out the width of your chest but you also don't want an implant that is to wide and will make you look top heavy. If your base width is 12cm I would lean more toward the 375cc implant with a base width of 11.75cm. I would discuss this further with your board certified plastic surgeon.

What size would take me to a D cup from 36 B?

We often tell our patients that a cup size is approximately 200cc. So in theory you need around a 400cc implant to go from a B to a D. I think that if you were thinking of a 385cc implant moving up to a 405cc or 420cc implant is very reasonable. I would reach out to your board certified plastic surgeon and discuss your options.

Breast augmentation doesn't hurt more if you have a small amount of breast tissue. However, if there is a small amount of breast tissue present we will suggest putting the implant behind the muscle to help the implant look more natural. In our office we recommend patients who do heavy lifting over 10 pounds to be off 2 weeks. If you are able to get help with lifting on your unit I would still suggest 7-10 days off. Most of the nurses we have done surgery on just arrange their schedules to help accommodate the time off in addition to using a few days of PTO but rarely do we have to send in paperwork to the hospital disclosing what procedure they have done.

Based on the photos enclosed I do not think you would be able to do a peri-areolar breast lift alone. In order to help with the shape of the breast and give you the best possible outcome I think you would need a vertical and IMF incision. I would reach out to a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a full in person consultation.

Having tighter breast skin does not increase your chance of getting symmastia. I would make sure to seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for your surgery. Symmastia is not a common complication seen after breast augmentation.

I am not sure what your goal is with your breasts but from the photo attached it appears you would be a good candidate for a breast lift and possible breast augmentation to add some upper pole fullness. There appears to be loose skin present on the breast and a lift would help give a more youthful appearance to the breast. I would seek out a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a full consultation. You will not be able to achieve this look with exercise and weight gain.
