1 week post SmartLipo/Laser Assisted Lipo on abdomen and flanks. Is it normal to have incision di
Smart Lipo after care
Apr 26, 2019
A small amount of discharge at the incision sites is normal while the are healing. As long as the incisions are not very painful or red it should be fine. The "ton of bricks" sensation is caused by swelling and tends to be the worst in the first 7-10 days. Lymphatic drainage massage can help to reduce the swelling and can be started within the first week after liposuction. It is not painful and I highly recommend it. Just make sure it is performed by a licensed lymphatic drainage therapist.
Does Voluma work immediately on “smokers lines?”
Filler for vertical Lip lines
Apr 7, 2019
Voluma is too thick to use for vertical lip lines. Thinner fillers like Restylane Silk, Belotero or Volbella are better options. When you have a lot of sun damage a combination of laser resurfacing, filler and Botox will give you the best results.
When will my bumps after smart lipo go away?
Lumps after Liposuction
Mar 24, 2019
It is very common to have lumps, swelling and irregularities the first 4-6 weeks after SmartLipo. The body is still healing and fluid will collect in certain areas causing lumps, swelling, areas of firmness and irregularities. Massage after SmartLipo helps to speed up recovery by reducing the post procedure swelling. I advise my patients to do a series of lymphatic drainage massages by a licensed therapist immediately after the procedure, followed by at home massaging with or without an...
4 weeks post - Are my smart Lipo Incisons healing right?
Incisions after smart lipo
Mar 24, 2019
Your incisions appear to be healing normal. It takes up to 1 year for the final results and most liposuction incisions are barely noticeable after 1 year. The indented scar may require subcision at some point if it stays tethered to the underlying tissue. Lightening creams with HQ can improve hyperpigmented scars and lasers like Fraxel and VBeam can improve texture and color of scars if needed. Talk to your provider to see what he/she recommends.
Is it possible to dissolve Voluma?
Voluma in the chin
Mar 17, 2019
It is difficult to answer that question without pictures or an in-person exam. I really depends on the appearance. In general I usually prefer to dissolve incorrectly placed filler first and then start again. However if it is just a small indentation that can easily be corrected by adding a little filler that would be the way to go. It is also possible that the irregular appearance of the chin is caused by an overactive muscle in which case adding a little Botox can be great to smooth out...
Under eyes filler and hard large lumps. Can this be corrected?
Lumps after under eye filler
Mar 16, 2019
It is most likely a bruise with swelling, which is common after filler injections. It can take up to a day for a bruise to show up and it usually resolves in 1-2 weeks. The swelling tends to be worse in the morning. Sleeping with your head elevated and applying ice to the area can help with the swelling. An infection would be unlikely this early. However, if you develop fever, pain, blisters or spreading of the redness I recommend seeing a local provider right away for further evaluation....
Lip bruising and lumps after lip fillers. Is this a normal reaction?
Lumps after lip filler
Mar 10, 2019
It usually takes 1-2 weeks for swelling and bruising to go down and lumps and bumps to smooth out. You can massage the lumps to help smooth them out. If it has been over 2 weeks and the lumps and bumps are visible or bothering you and an HA filler was used, you can have it dissolved with hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down HA fillers. You may need more than 1 session. Good luck
