Could I get my boobs to look like this? Would they be too big?
Dream goals
Feb 5, 2018
Thanks for your question. The short answer is that using a 3-D system like VECTRA allows you to get a better idea of what you, specifically, would look like. It’s such a great tool. Interestingly, the person you chose had those pictures taken at 9 months instead of the typical 3 month that you see online. That means your goals are in line with how things look long term rather than short term. That’s a great start!  Let us know if we can help further. Jess, Megan or Brittany can help a ton an...
Have I choose the right size?
Choosing the best implant size
Sep 19, 2016
Thanks for your question.  Choosing the correct implant size is a huge part of your experience with breast augmentation. So much of the process is individualized that it would be nearly impossible for me to give you the kind of information that you would want to use for your decision making over the internet.  Instead, I would encourage you to seek out a practice that has advanced tools to help with the process, things like the VECTRA 3-D imaging system that lets you see about what you w...

Silicon VS Saline. Which is better in the long run?
Both silicone and saline implants can be a good choice.`
Jul 15, 2016
Ultimately, this decision comes down to your personal preference. Both silicone and saline implants have their own advantages, and each can offer excellent results. And according to the FDA, they both carry about the same risk for complications. Although silent ruptures can sometimes happen with silicone implants and an MRI is necessary to detect the rupture, the silicone gel inside the outer shell is cohesive enough that it shouldn’t leak into the body. If you want to combine the benefits o...
Breast Implants Subglandular to correct asymmetry. Two weeks post op, will they 'drop' ?
Your implants will likely still “drop and fluff.”
Jul 13, 2016
Congratulations on your breast augmentation! At 2 weeks post-op, you are still in the earliest stages of recovery and should expect to see your implants “drop and fluff” over the next several weeks. From your pictures, it does look like your breasts are still riding high, but this is completely normal. Most breast implants take between 3 to 6 months to fully settle into place. If you’re still concerned with the position of your implants after several months, consult your plastic surgeon for h...
How do I get rid of the pouch without surgery?
You may be a candidate for liposuction or CoolSculpting®.
Jul 7, 2016
Some pockets of stubborn fat,
particularly in the belly, hips and thigh areas, can be very difficult to get
rid of through diet and exercise alone. You may want to consider options like
liposuction or a nonsurgical alternative such as CoolSculpting®. Both of these
options can target and remove localized fat. A consultation with a board-certified
plastic surgeon in your area can help you to determine which procedure can help
you to obtain your desired results.
Am I an ideal tummy tuck candidate?
You may be a great candidate for a tummy tuck.
Jul 6, 2016
Thanks for your question.
Judging from your pictures, it looks like you could be a great candidate for a
tummy tuck. As you mentioned, it’s recommended that you come as close as
possible to your target weight before going ahead with the procedure. A tummy tuck
could help to remove your excess skin and tighten up any loose muscle or tissue
that may contribute to sagging skin. A board-certified plastic surgeon who has
considerable experience doing tummy tucks should be able to offer you b...
Is suntanning harmful to your incision scars after BA?
Tanning isn’t recommended if scarring is a concern.
Jun 30, 2016
Generally
speaking, it’s not recommended that you expose your scars either to the sun or
UV light from tanning beds this soon after your procedure. Sun exposure can
affect the pigmentation of your scars, which can result in unwanted
discoloration of the skin. Keep in mind that it can take up to 18 months for a
scar to fully mature and heal, and it will gradually fade on its own during
this period. If you must go tanning, cover your incision sites very well.
Will breast aug make me look fatter 5'4 150 pounds
Vectra 3D imaging can be a great tool to virtually “try on” your implants.
Jun 29, 2016
One of the most common
concerns for women considering breast implants is that they can’t fully
visualize what their final results will look like. If possible, I would suggest
working with a board-certified plastic surgeon who offers Vectra 3D imaging.
This technology allows you to virtually “try on” different implant sizes to
give you a much clearer idea of what your breast augmentation results will look
like. Best of luck to you.
How to treat keloid scars?
Your scars may need some more time to heal on their own before seeking treatment.
Jun 15, 2016
Judging from your pictures, it looks like your scars
may not be fully healed, which is to be expected given you had your breast
augmentation less than two months ago. In fact, scars may take up to 18 months
to fully mature, which will result in a faded, softer appearance. I would
suggest giving your scars a few more months to heal and mature, and if they
still appear very raised or discolored, talk with your plastic surgeon about
your options for skin resurfacing treatments or other scar...
Breast Augmentation...to lift or not to lift?
You may be a good candidate for a combination breast lift and augmentation.
Jun 8, 2016
As others have already noted, it can be difficult to provide a definitive answer judging by your photos alone. You do appear to have a degree of ptosis, or sagging, which would not be addressed solely through implants. It’s likely you could benefit from a breast lift with your breast augmentation. This is a very common combination procedure, and many women find that the added lift can offera more rejuvenatedoutcome. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon to address your goals and d...
Should someone with multiple procedures have a night stay in the clinic?
Communicate with your board-certified plastic surgeon.
Jun 7, 2016
As others have commented here, it’s
difficult to know what your specific needs will be following your procedure, as
everyone recovers differently. If you’re concerned about not spending the
night, this is definitely something you’ll want to discuss with your plastic
surgeon. He or she should be able to ease your discomfort about going home the
same day. Of course, it’s important to work with a board-certified plastic
surgeon for this reason. You should be able to feel that you can trust h...
How long after having a baby do I need to wait to have a mommy makeover surgery?
How long to wait after a baby for surgery
May 6, 2016
This is a really interesting question and one that there is not an absolute answer for. In some parts of the world, a tummy tuck is done at the same time as a C-section. With a mommy makeover, there needs to be time for both the breasts to evolve how they are going to and your uterus to shrink back so that the muscle and skin can be fully tightened. It's been my experience that a woman's body changes for 6-9 months after a child is born.  The best time is likely when your progress ...
When can I get a tattoo over my Tummy tuck scar?
You may want to wait several months before getting an abdomen tattoo.
Apr 15, 2016
As another surgeon has suggested, you should definitely talk
to your doctor about how much time he or she would like you to wait before
getting a tattoo over this area. In general, it can take between 9 months to a
year for a tummy tuck scar to heal and for it to be safe to be tattooed over.
Just keep in mind that everyone’s body heals differently and at various paces,
so double-checking with your doctor about your specific situation is your best
bet.
How long do I need to take off work after breast augmentation? I am a professional house cleaner
It may take several weeks before you can resume all activities.
Apr 12, 2016
Depending on how much lifting and moving you need
to do at work, you should be able to return to work within 2 weeks, though this
is definitely something you’ll want to discuss with your doctor. I typically
recommend that women wait 4 to 6 weeks after breast implants to begin vigorous
activity, so as long as you go slowly and reintroduce your body to activity
gradually, you should be fine. But do keep in mind that everyone recovers at
their own pace, so just make sure you listen to your...
