Would I be a good candidate for SculpSure?
Consider CoolSculpting given the large areas
Sep 3, 2019
Given the large areas and since you do not want surgery or do anything invasive, I recommend taking a look at CoolSculpting and being treated with the Advantage or Advantage Plus applicator. The curve in your lower abdomen is a pannus which looks like pinchable fat, the ideal type of fat for CoolSculpting to reduce. You can also do SculpSure but perhaps later to refine the fat removal and tighten the area noninvasively.
54 year old male. Thinking about CoolSculpting chest area. Fat has built up around my pecs a
CoolSculpting can treat true fat in chest area
Sep 3, 2019
If you have true fat in the chest area then CoolSculpting can help to reduce it. If it is extra glandular tissue then CoolSculpting will not help to remove that, only surgery. It is possible to have both types of tissue. This has to be assessed by a core aesthetic physician such as a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to determine treatment suitability.
Can I get CoolSculpting after each pregnancy?
CoolSculpting can be done anytime after pregnancy and multiple times
Sep 3, 2019
You can do CoolSculpting after pregnancy and doing multiple times is fine. It depends on your aesthetic goals, and whether you want to work toward them in between pregnancies or just wait until after.
Which is better to reduce stubborn fat on the inner thighs: SculpSure or CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting or SculpSure will work
Sep 3, 2019
Either CoolSculpting or SculpSure will work to reduce unwanted subcutaneous fat in a target area. Fat cells have a limited viability in temperature range so if it’s too warm (SculpSure) or too cold (CoolSculpting), then the fat cells will die off and your body will eliminate them. To pick the right device you should have a consultation done for both options (ideally at the same practice so they are not pushing one over the other due to what they have) and d...
I just got SculpSure done a few hours ago on back/bra area. Only one side is sore. Is it pos
Soreness does not correlate with treatment outcome
Sep 1, 2019
I have treated patients who feel the treatment sensation more on one side than the other, but on followup evaluation the sides look even. I have treated patients with SculpSure actually to correct uneven treatment results from liposuction for gynecomastia done elsewhere where it is not worth further cutting of the skin to make minor adjustments. SculpSure is a great treatment option for revisions without having to go under the knife again.
What procedure would help fix indentions on inner thighs caused by CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting treatment was incomplete
Sep 1, 2019
It looks like the applicator to treat your thigh was too small. The unwanted fat should be matched to the appropriate applicator size. The easiest way to correct this is to place another applicator above the previously treated area and do another session so that the applicators would have overlapped as if it were one larger applicator.
I have vertical wrinkles under my chin area and had CoolMini done 2 days ago, will it actual
Depends on the etiology of the wrinkles.
Aug 29, 2019
When you tense up your neck do cords come out more where the wrinkles are? If so then those wrinkles may actually be platysmal bands and CoolSculpting or other energy devices would not be appropriate for that, but rather a neurotoxin like Botox. You should see a board certified dermatologist to do an assessment and determine the etiology so the best treatment can be recommended to address the underlying cause.
Is it safe to have CoolSculpting to reduce my double chin while I take Prednisone 9 mg for P
CoolSculpting depends on whether the prednisone is the new normal
Aug 29, 2019
Is the prednisone short term therapy or is there a plan to transition to another medication long term? Prednisone causes water retention, so if there are areas of seemingly unwanted fat I would check with your rheumatologist to see if there is an alternative medication or to decrease the dose. It’s possible you will lose water weight and then I would reassess areas you want to contour. If these areas resolve or improve enough on their own then you will have saved money f...
What is the right thing to get rid of breast, armpit and butt stretch marks?
Stretch marks can be treated with a fractional laser
Aug 28, 2019
Stretch mark appearance can be reduced with a fractional laser such as the Palomar Icon 1540 non-ablative laser. In fact, the Palomar Icon is FDA approved for this indication. Other fractional lasers both non-ablative and ablative have been developed and tested and should be comparable.
SculpSure/truSculpting and compromised lymph system: can lipo damage the lymph nodes?
SculpSure uses lymphatic system to clear destroyed fat cells
Aug 28, 2019
The advantage of SculpSure is that unlike liposuction it is non-invasive and non-surgical. It heats up the fat cells beyond viability and those fat cells then die and get cleared by the body's lymphatic system. If you have concerns about a prior liposuction then you should consult the surgeon who had performed the procedure for followup, as each case would vary.
What is the difference in results for SculpSure Laser Fat Loss vs. Coolsculpting?
Treatment time and side effects profile risk managment
May 2, 2017
Are the main differences. Our practice was approached by both Allergan (CoolSculpting) and Cynosure (SculpSure) and now we offer both. SculpSure has a shorter treatment time (25 minutes instead of 35-45 minutes). SculpSure allows treatment of small areas simultaneously (e.g., upper arms or slight muffin top) in one session while CoolSculpting can treat a single large area (e.g., lower abdomen). Our strategy is to debulk large areas with CoolSculpting...
Is Kybella permanent?
Yes Kybella treatment is permanent.
Jan 11, 2017
Kybella treatment is permanent because its active ingredient deoxycholic acid breaks down the fat cells in the treated area which is then resorbed by the body.
Is It Safe to Remove a Small Tattoo at Home with Salt?
Salt Water Does Not Remove Tattoos
Jan 11, 2017
This would not work because the tattoo ink is placed in the dermis of the skin. The salt water would only irritate the upper layers. A laser light however would bypass the upper layers of the skin to target the tattoo pigment in the deeper layers and fragment them to facilitate removal.
Tattoo Removal Cream
Tattoo Removal Cream does not exist
Jan 11, 2017
There isn't any that exists that would work and here is why. Tattoos are created deliberately by injecting ink into the dermal layer of the skin. This is pretty deep, and so topical creams won't reach it. The appropriate laser, however, bypasses the top layers of the skin and targets the pigmented in the deeper layer, facilitating its fragmentation and subsequent removal.
What Tattoo Ink Colors Are Easiest to Remove?
Easiest Tattoo Ink Color to Remove Depends on Laser Used
Jan 11, 2017
Each ink color has an optimal absorption spectra that if matched to the laser used can be removed.

NdYag 1064 nm - blue, black (especially for patients with darker skin types)

NdYag 532 nm - red, orange, (yellow)

Ruby 694 nm - blue, green, black

Alexandrite 755 nm - green, blue, black

Some tattoo inks (some reds and whites), will darken first as their oxidation state changes after the initial laser treatment, and then the transformed color has to be treated.
