Hi… your dermat has done good by stopping your steroids, however i will not recommend using accutane in this condition. In TSDF, the skin becomes habitual of steroid and after sometime steroid acne start appearing. Hi..you should continue the Isotretinoin because of two reasons. First : your acne are still recovering as i can see a few elevated lesions of settling acne. They haven’t settled completely and if you will stop at this stage, they will again start popping up. Second : The total cumulative dose for Isotretinoin is around 100-125 mg/kg body weight and you can yourself calculate the number of days of Isotretinoin treatment as per this total dose. So as per my advice, continue for another 4…

Hi..there may be complications because it takes around 4 wks for Isotretinoin to wash out from the body and it is a known teratogen. I will advise you to visit a Gynecologist and as per her advice go for various screening tests to rule out any birth anomaly.

Hi.. there may be multiple reasons associated with recurrent relapses of Nodular/cystic acne. The most common are – improper total dose of isotretinoin, associated hormonal factors, insulin resistance and vitamin D3 deficiency (metabolic factors) .
