What to do for remove dark spot permanetly
Age spot removal
Jun 7, 2016
I always recommend that patients be evaluated by a board certified dermatologist in order to correctly diagnose the "dark spot" and make sure that it is not cancerous.  Once we have established that it is not a cancerous lesion, we can proceed with a number of medical treatments.  Over the counter, serums and creams typically do not work well to remove dark spots. We recommend patient start with a prescription lightening cream (with hydroquinone, vitamin A and mild steroid) and apply it for 3...
Hi, how to get rid/remove of Acne ?
Acne Treatment
Jun 6, 2016
From this photo, it is clear that you are having very inflammatory acne lesions.  Oftentimes when acne is very inflammatory, patients may need to take oral pills (either birth control pills, oral antibiotics, spironolactone, and/or accutane) to really get control of these lesions.  The key is to stop the deep lesions from forming.  If there are no acne lesions for 6 months, your skin will have enough time to fade the discoloration and scarring.  While doing the oral treatment, we typ...
Does a board certified Mohs dermatologist have the same skills as a plastic surgeon?
Many same techniques, but not the same
Aug 25, 2015
A fellowship trained Mohs surgeon is a dermatologist who has undergone an extra year of training to perform a specialized skin cancer removal technique called Mohs surgery. This is a technique which has the highest cure rate of any skin cancer removal procedure. Mohs surgeons are also trained in reconstructive techniques to make the site as aesthetically pleasing as possible post surgery, many of these techniques are the same techniques employed by plastic surgeons, however, Mohs surgeons...

I have tiny white dots on foreskin when I pull it back, what is it?
Most likely, small glands
Aug 25, 2015
More than Likely these are small glands that are associated with the microscopic (vellus) hairs found on skin.
What is better for minor acne scars; Juvederm or Radiesse?
Juvederm hands down!
Jun 10, 2015
Juvederm! Juvederm is a clear product which is great for acne scars whereas radiesse is white. With acne scars you need a product that allows for the flexibility to be placed both deep and superficial which juvederm can. Since it's clear it yields a far better result than radiesse. You should expect results to last about one year.
I had a small mole remove about 4 wks ago on my upper lip, when would it be okay to cover it up w/ some c
Can Vary Depending
May 28, 2015
There are two main ways that i remove moles and depending on the type of removal, the healing time may vary.

1. if the mole is a raised mole, we often will do a "shave removal" - which involves anesthetizing the site and then shaving the mole flat. this usually leads to nicer healing and over time it will become a faint scar about the size of the original mole. sometimes however, the mole will grow back over time as sometimes these moles have "roots". i find that if it does grow back that...
