Dermal filler migration after injections at the cheek area is rare, but not impossible. If it was fine and you are now developing lumps , likely you have reactive late-onset nodules, with a prevalence rate at about 0.5% ( or less) after dermal fillers injection. I recommend that you consult with your aesthetic practitioner for an assessment, diagnosis and treatment plan. It is possible to get them dissolved and have future injections. All the best,

Great question. CoolSculpting is an amazing treatment to get rid of stubborn areas of fat, including the double chin. Thank you for your question. Late-onset modules or granuloma formation after dermal filler injections is a rare but possible complications with fillers. It is often triggered when the immune system is compromised due to a viral or bacterial infection, and more prevalent in patients with multiple allergies. CoolSculpting is great at treating pinchable fat that does not go away with exercise or diet. Although it is not meant for skin tightening, some patients may experience an improvement in skin laxity after CoolSculpting. For best results, I recommend adding EMTONE, Exilis Ultra or hyperdiluted Radiesse collagen biostimulation injections to your CoolSculpting treatment in order to improve skin laxity and best result. Thank you for your question. Shingles is caused by the reactivation of the varicella virus, more frequently in patients over 50 years of age and with a compromised immune system. At the moment there is no medical evidence of an association of shingles reactivation after CoolSculpting. Hence, it is safe to proceed with your CoolSculpting treatment if your have no contraindications to cryolipolysis. Getting the vaccine for shingles may help prevent the disease and reoccurrence.
