What form of vaginal rejuvenation is recommended for Incontinence after 3 birth deliveries? Is multi
multiple options for stress urinary incontinence
May 12, 2020
There are many therapies available for stress incontinence. Your own decision should depend on your individual circumstance, anatomy, and symptoms. If you visit with a pelvic specialist, we would assess things like vaginal laxity, urethral mobility, your sphincter function, and more.
In general, if you want to start simple & conservative, things like pelvic floor physical therapy, and/or some of our radiofrequency treatments such as Votiva or Aviva are easy to do and can improve leakage…
Is Votiva the best option to help my bladder prolapse?
Depends on stage of prolapse
Apr 15, 2020
Bladder prolapse (cystocele) is relatively common and women who have had pregnancy and delivery. Typically and a valuation in the office would consist of determining the stage or a grade of the prolapse, or how far it has dropped. A grade I would be mild, grade II is at or just beyond the hymenal ring, III and IV are worse.
We offer all the available treatments for prolapse— if you are symptomatic, it’s likely at least a grade II. For a grade to prolapse the options are to i…
Strong vaginal tone but loose vagina?
Laxity but good internal pelvic floor tone
Mar 26, 2020
It sounds like you could have decent pelvic floor tone, but mild prolapse or vaginal laxity. We see this commonly in young women. Based on your examination, you could need something as easy as an in-office radiofrequency therapy, or something more involved like a surgical repair (perineoplasty, or rectocele repair). I would recommend visiting with a specialist to get an evaluation in person
Is this bladder prolapse? Is it normal/common? I’ve had one baby 8 months ago he was 8lb 1oz
Prolapse after pregnancy and delivery
Mar 22, 2020
There are three components to the vaginal wall, the anterior wall, which is where the bladder is, the posterior wall, which is where the rectum is, and the apex of the vagina or the uterus. Any number of these things can fall or drop after having children. Approximately 40% of women who have had one vaginal delivery will have one component of the vaginal wall dropping. This is typically not dangerous to you And we do not recommend repair unless it bothers you.
from your picture it is…
Can I successfully fix my labia while keeping sensation?
Be careful with which method you choose
Feb 25, 2020
There are several different options you can choose for your condition. FYI, it’s always easier to examine patients in person than advising from a picture.
There are a variety of nonsurgical options that you can choose. In our office, we utilize the InMode Votiva (Fractora/FormaV) for this condition. We are also offering the Aviva, a novel innovative technique in radiofrequency for nonsurgical labiaplasty.
There are also many surgical options, including different types of…
Is there an age limit to having the MonaLisa Touch procedure performed? Is 64 the maximum age for th
The older you are, the more likely you are to need it!
Feb 25, 2020
We’ve been doing Mona Lisa Touch in northern NJ for years. What we have found is that it works great in women well into their 70’s, 80’s, and even 90’s. Our oldest patient is in her 90’s and she had tried virtually everything for her vaginal pain/discomfort, including topical therapies, hormonal therapies, and oral medications. Mona Lisa was the game changer for her.
ThermiVA or Mona Lisa – Which procedure is better for specifically tightening of the vagina?
Understand the differences between CO2 and RF therapy
Feb 25, 2020
In general, we think of CO2 lasers like Mona Lisa as more useful in peri and postmenopausal women, as the treatment penetrates only 200-600 microns (less than 1mm) into the vaginal mucosa. This treatment has NOT been shown to tighten. Rather, we use this therapy in women who have discomfort during sexual relations, or who have dryness, itching, or discomfort due to the lack of estrogen after menopause.
Radiofrequency treatments like Thermi penetrate deeper into the tissue and are generally…
