I think you are an excellent candidate for fillers in the tear troughs. This is a very safe and effective technique that adds volume to the hollowed tear trough area. It also improves the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. Newer techniques utilize a cannula instead of a needle to inject the filler. The results are beautiful and the risk of bruising is far less using this technique.

Swelling can persist for weeks after filler injections (especially in the lips) and it is important to be patient as some asymmetries and other issues often resolve with time. I would not advise you to have the procedure if you have ongoing symptoms such as fever or chills from your urinary tract infection.
