Good question. In a healthy, non-diabetic, non-smoker there should not be any increased risk of tissue compromise. Just be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon who is skilled in facelift surgery.

Thanks for your question. You appear to be a good candidate for liposuction. Your skin quality appears good as well as underlying muscle contour. SAFE lipo under sedation should give you excellent results. But be sure to see a plastic surgeon who performs a lot of body contouring procedures for a personal consultation & evaluation.

I agree with most of the other doctors. I have performed breast augmentation for over 30 years. I have some great results with transaxillary augmentation but I rarely perform it anymore. Implant malposition is much more common than with an inframammary Incision. Healing tends to be longer and more uncomfortable. Breast augmentation is not an easy operation and should be an exact surgery, best performed via an incision in the crease under the breast.

From your description it does not seem that your endocrinologist feels that there is a hormone problem. I have not seen any insurance cover gynecomastia in the past 10-15 years. Be sure to find a Plastic surgeon who specializes in this surgery and is capable of performing 3D/4D contouring. It’s not enough just to make your breast smaller or “flatter”, it should be contoured.

Unfortunately, liposuction is not the procedure for you. While traditional brachioplasty is a good choice, it does leave a scar running down the inner side of your arm. All insurance companies will cover breast reduction, but each has certain criteria which must be satisfied. They will consider breast size, BMI, weight of breast to be removed, and symptoms (back pain, neck pain, etc). There is no right or wrong answer here. If your implant is more than 10 years old and is now ruptured, I would remove the scar capsule along with the implant. Since there is more potential for bleeding or fluid accumulation with this surgery, I would use a drain. Bernice,The cost of a breast lift depends on the type of lift and wether or not you desire more fullness with implants. In the NY metro area the cost will vary between $8000 & $12000. Yes. Insurance companies are mandated by law to cover breast reconstruction as well as surgery on the opposite if needed to create symmetry. They will also cover revision surgery if the original surgery is for reconstruction after cancer. Be sure to see your original surgeon or a board certified Plastic Surgeon who regularly performs breast reconstruction and revisional breast surgery.
