Answer Snippet
Is it possible to run the CoolSculpting applicator for less than the full 50 mins?
CoolSculpting Cycle Times
Jun 24, 2019
The CoolSclupting cycle is based upon years of research and development. The cycle times are specific for each applicator. If your are worried about too much of a reduction, the applicator size should be adjusted, never the cycle time.
P.S. I have never had a patient complain of too much reduction. It is important that your physician is experienced in the correct application to avoid any contour defects.
I have Protein S deficiency and never had any clots. Can I get CoolSculpting?
Protein S deficiency
Jun 24, 2019
Protein S deficiency increases your risk of blood clots. You would receive special medications to prevent excess clotting after surgery. Coolsculpting is non-surgical and there are no contraindications for you. Good luck!
Will 30 minutes on each leg be enough to reduce my saddle bags?
Outer Thigh Treatment Times
Jun 24, 2019
The outer thigh application is 75 minutes for each side. This is one of the areas we find is highly reactive, meaning patients see some real changes from the first treatment that appear over 3 months. It is likely that you can get the results you are looking for in one treatment, but time will tell. The outer thigh applicator is the coldest applicator and when placed correctly and can yield excellent results!
How many arm treatments can one have on CoolSculpting?
Repeat arm treatments
Jun 17, 2019
Make sure that you have fat in the area and not just lax skin. Best to be evaluated by your same facility and specifically a physician in this case.
Am I a good candidate for CoolSculpting?
It’s your journey
Jun 17, 2019
Keep working on your own timeline. CoolSculpting is an option for you either now or in the future. Some patients use it to “finish” their progress, others to help motivate themselves to push harder. Do keep in mind that many patients do get the additional benefit of collagen stimulation and skin tightening as well. Best of luck!
When one is affected with PAH post CoolSculpting, is it obvious?
PAH
Jun 17, 2019
PAH is a known, but rare event after Coolsculpting. It needs to be evaluated and diagnosed by the physician associated with your treatments. It tends to occur most commonly in patients of Polynesian descent. It is quite obvious when present and is treated by liposuction. I would definitely seek evaluation and follow up if you have concerns.
Should I get two CoolSculpting treatments on my abdomen or one on my abdomen and one
How best to use “treatments”
Jun 17, 2019
In general, you need to completely treat an area to get the best results. Don’t try to split treatments and spread it out too far. Any experienced provider can give you a realistic idea on the number of sessions needed for a given area. Pictures would help us give you a better idea.

Loose skin after weight loss
Jun 17, 2019
As a bariatric surgeon, I treat patients of all ages who accomplish extreme weight loss. After almost 20 years in practice, I can definitely say that loose skin is NOT predictable. In general, younger patients and males have less issues overall. The things that can be controlled are nutrition and exercise. Make sure your diet includes appropriate protein supplements to maintain muscle mass as your are losing weight. Also incorporate weight training and resistance work…
How Long Does the Coolsculpting Procedure Last and How Many Treatments Are Needed?
Coolsculpting Treatments
May 29, 2019
The Coolsculpting treatments are an FDA approved procedure that destroys 25-30% of the fat cells in the treated area permanently. However, you still have fat cells in the area that can continue to grow unless you follow a good healthy diet. The amount of treatments depend on the amount of fat in the targeted area. Consult your nearest Certified Coolsculpting provider for a consult of the areas you are concerned with.
How Much Does CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Cost?
Coolsculpting prices
May 29, 2019
Coolsculpting prices vary from practice to practice depending on how many treatment areas there are and how many times the areas need to be treated. I would call a Certified Coolsculpting provider and ask for a consult.

Bloating and swelling
May 29, 2019
This does not sound like a Coolsculpting side effect, I would recommend you make an appointment with your Primary Care Physician to explore the causes.

Coolsculpting over a repaired hernia
May 29, 2019
As long as your hernia repair is intact and the mesh is in place and there is ample amount of fat over the area, Coolsculpting would be fine. However, if there is an existing hernia then please consult your surgeon.
I am 13 and 188 lbs. Only 5 foot 2 inches. How do I lose weight?
Teenage Weight Loss
May 29, 2019
Hello Brittany,
It is important to take a good look at your diet and get some general nutritional information from your primary care physician. In general, you should limit process foods and carbohydrates (breads, pastas, chips, and sweets). Make some general changes first and increase your activity over the summer. That is the best place to begin!
I need to lose weight but I’m allergic to all fruits and vegetables. Options? (photo
Allergies to fruits and vegetables
May 29, 2019
A true allergy to ALL fruits and vegetables would be very rare. I recommend that you consult an allergy specialist for skin testing to determine your true sensitivities.

Bariatric surgery
May 28, 2019
Each person is different in which Bariatric procedure is best and if they fit the criteria. I would contact a Bariatric surgeon close to you and discuss your options.
