Since CoolSculpting Freezes Fat to Kill It, Why Not Just Repeatedly Apply Ice Bags?
Placing ice packs on an area to lose fat would be unsafe.
Jul 8, 2017
Placing ice packs on an area to lose fat would be unsafe. You would risk damaging your skin and developing scarring. Popsicle panniculitis happened when the ice was placed against the inside of the mouth, against the creek. This mucosa is much thinner that the skin and would transmit the cold more easily to the cheek fat pads. Plus this is an undesirable medical condition. Coolsculpting is a safe and tested treatment that is more than just freezing the fat. It does it in a very controlled...
How Much Does CoolSculpting by Zeltiq Cost?
Coolsculpting costs between $700-1000 per applicator.
Jul 8, 2017
Coolsculpting costs between $700-1000 per applicator. Most people require around 2-4 small applicators per treatment and one treatment may be enough depending on the size of the area.
How Long Does the Coolsculpting Procedure Last and How Many Treatments Are Needed?
Coolsculpting is permanent.
Jul 8, 2017
Coolsculpting is permanent meaning that if you maintain your body weight, the fat shouldn't come back. The number of treatments is dependent on how much you want to lose. Expect 20% reduction per applicator.
Slim Lipo vs. Cool Sculpting for Belly Fat and Love Handles?
Slim lip of and Coolsculpting are completely different treatments
Jul 8, 2017
Slim lip of and Coolsculpting are completely different treatments. Slim lipo is invasive and is more akin to traditional liposuction. Coolsculpting is non-invasive. The candidates are completely different too. Slim lipo can remove larger areas of fat and has downtime. Coolsculpting is better for smaller localized areas of fat and has no downtime. You should have a consult to get accurate pricing and see what makes more sense for your body.
Does CoolSculpting Really Work?
Yes, Coolsculpting definitely works.
Jul 8, 2017
Yes, Coolsculpting definitely works as long as the applicators are applied correctly. You can expect about 20% reduction of the fat in the treatment area. Usually a second treatment can be done around 3 months later.
How much does Kybella cost per treatment and how many treatments?
Kybella ranges in price of around $600-800 per vial.
Jul 8, 2017
Kybella ranges in price of around $600-800 per vial. The average person needs 4 vials done in 2 sessions of 2 vials. The swelling can last a couple of weeks and the fat reduction takes about 6 weeks.
Long-term Effects of Coolsculpting?
Coolsculpting works by freezing fat
Jul 8, 2017
Coolsculpting works by freezing fat but since fat freezes at a higher temperature, the overlying skin is not injured. Plus it does this in a controlled manner to limit any side effects. The device also naturally feathers the area so there shouldn't be any lumps of applied correctly. Smaller individuals may notice more improvement since the treatment is meant for fat contouring, not for larger fat reduction.
What Happens If Someone Gains Weight After Using Kybella?
Cheek fat/cheek reduction
Apr 27, 2017
Regarding cheek fat/cheek reduction, it would be best to consult with a plastic surgeon regarding what options might be effective. Typically CoolSculpting and the mini-applicators are used for removal of body fat from the neck and below. There is a CoolSculpting applicator to help with the neck/double-chin area but not specifically for the cheeks.
Lump Left After Coolsculpting?
It is possible for a lump to appear in the treatment area several weeks after your procedure.
Apr 18, 2017
It is possible for a lump to appear in the treatment area several weeks after your procedure. It could be inflammation that will gradually dissipate or, as your doctor said, it could be fat. It is best to allow some time to determine whether the lump will resolve on its own. If it's still an issue after 4-6 months, your doctor should take a look at it again and see if there is a need for a repeat procedure. For now, I recommend monitoring the lump before having a second procedure.
When can I return to my normal workout routine after Kybella?
2-3 days after
Apr 11, 2017
I usually recommend waiting 2-3 days after your Kybella treatment before resuming any strenuous exercise. If you experience a lot of swelling, I recommend waiting a few days longer
How much does it cost for laser freckle removal for whole face? Does this leave any marks and ca
It depends on the type of freckles, which laser is used, and how long it would take.
Mar 13, 2017
Your question is difficult to answer because it depends on the type of freckles, which laser is used, and how long it would take. There are so many different ways to even skin color. Some of these treatments can be done in one day, or may require a series of treatments. Usually the brown spots get darker for a week or two and they gradually exfoliate off. You could wear makeup to hide it. The pricing could be from $500 on up, again depending what laser would work best for your needs. I'd...
What can you recommend for stubborn age/sun spots on hands?
It sounds like you have been following all the right steps in preventing sun damage.
Mar 13, 2017
It sounds like you have been following all the right steps in preventing sun damage. While I would also recommend topical lightening agents in conjunction with laser treatments for your condition, the type of laser would be a very important element in getting the results you desire. I would use a Pico Second laser to treat brown spots, but not every dermatology office has this laser. Another thing I want to point out is that not all brown spots are associated with sun damage. There are also...
Dark Spots on Legs - Cause and Treatment?
Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation
Mar 13, 2017
It is difficult to tell what type of pigment you have on your legs based on the photo. It looks like it can be post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. If so, there may have been or there is a rash or trauma that has caused this. I recommend you go visit a dermatologist for a full evaluation. Bleaching creams may be your best option for this since laser could worsen the pigment if it's indeed post inflammatory.
Treatment for Dark Pigmentation Around Eyes?
What you are describing is a common issue.
Mar 13, 2017
What you are describing is a common issue. There are a lot of patients that complain of dark circles around the eyes. Sometimes it's related to blood flow around the eye, sometimes from volume loss, but often times it's just they way the skin is around the eyes. It tends to run in families and often happens in darker skin types. Unfortunately if it's due to the latter, there's not a lot that can be done. I usually recommend eye creams that particles that reflect light. It will help mask the...
Please explain the results of Kybella. How many treatments is the 'norm?'
Yes, Kybella really works
Mar 13, 2017
Yes, Kybella really works. There is some downtime after injection, but as I always say to patients; downtime is relative in a procedure like this. You could go about your day as usual but there will be swelling and bruising. It just depends how comfortable you are being in public with this. If not, then take 2-3 days off for the swelling to calm down a bit. I usually recommend treatments no more than 6-8 weeks apart. The results are long lasting if not...
