Great question - we find that when fillers are injected under the muscle, such as with the Y-Lift technique, the fillers last much longer and appear more structural. However, it is technically much easier to inject fillers over the muscle, and most providers aren't trained to inject under the muscle. You will have great results with either technique, but if you're seeking longevity, seek out a Y-Lift provider.
