Juvederm: What is going wrong with my lip injections?
filler
Dec 5, 2017
Thank you for photos and question. I agree with the others that you should wait a bit before making any changes. However, I doubt things will change much. It appears that the lip has been filled more in the upper third and vermillion causing it to roll out more than you are accustomed to. This is not an error, as some like this look. I would wait another week and if it is still not to your liking, have hyaluronidase injected to remove the HA and wait a few…
I am just turning 30 but I’ve always had one deep frown line. What is the cheapest solution fillers
wrinkle
Nov 13, 2017
Thank you for the question!!
For someone your age, and without seeing you, I would suggest Botox first. Kind of a rule of thumb, if the wrinkle is present at rest, you will need a filler, however, in younger people, Botox by itself will often, over time, make the wrinkle go away if you keep up with it. If it does not resolve to your satisfaction, I would then add a filler. I would suggest using both though. Using a filler without Botox shortens the life of the filler…
What is a treatment for blisters after laser hair removal that are getting worse?
bumps
Nov 13, 2017
The real question you should be asking is What are the bumps and what is causing them. It sounds as if they may be a form of acne. This needs to be controlled first. If there is scarring from the process, it can be treated accordingly. Good skin care, acne control (if that is the cause) and, yes, lasers can be very beneficial.
Thank you for the question.
I had Botox and filler (teosyal) on my face yesterday and I am breastfeeding my 14 months baby. Is
Botox safety.
Nov 13, 2017
Thank you for the question. The short answer is, nobody knows if it is safe. The reason for this is the lack of studies. Companies that produce products for the cosmetic world don’t spend the time or take on the liability of studying efficacy or side effects on pregnant or nursing mothers, therefore, we just don’t know for sure. That being said, the safety profile of Botox is well documented and more likely than not, there will be no problems now or in the future with…
Effectiveness of vampire facial?
PRP
Nov 8, 2017
Thank you for the question.
I find that PRP facials using the dermapen (vampire facials) are very effective at improving overall skin texture and appearance. Depending on the depth and number of wrinkles present, it will have some effect for sure and may satisfy your needs. It will not take the place of a lift, botox, or fillers however. It is an adjunct. I have been very impressed at how youthful the skin looks 6 weeks or so after a treatment and recommend it…
How do you make a belly button when the “stalk” has been covered over for months or even years? (Ph
belly button
Nov 8, 2017
This can be a problem for some people, especially if the pannus has pulled the umbilicus and its stalk below the pubis. In some cases, without moving it, as in a tummy tuck, surgeons elect to remove it. There are procedures to re-create the umbilicus. Though not perfect, they can look fairly realistic. I would recommend going to see a qualified surgeon to discuss.
Thank you for the question.
Chin lift after CoolSculpting?
Loose skin
Nov 8, 2017
Hopefully you are just removing fat. Usually CoolSculpting is recommended by providers for removal of fatty tissue and I would imagine that is true in your case. You should do well and the skin should do just fine. If need be, you could easily have a more invasive or non-invasive skin tightening procedure.
Good luck!
Would surgical lip augmentation provide better closure for my mouth?
lips
Jun 6, 2017
I am not sure lip augmentation is the right answer for you, nor do I think it will help. You appear to still have severe micrognathia with a very short jaw. I would suggest going to a good oral, maxillofacial surgeon for another evaluation. Your short jaw may be the cause of your jaw problems and should probably be corrected.
DAO Botox: how many units should go into the DAO each side?
dao
Jun 6, 2017
I usually use small amounts. Start with about 2 units per side. Some people may need more but you can always add. Keep track of how much it takes and repeat every 4 mos or so.
Can you have laser treatment in the morning at 10am and 1mil of Juvederm lip filler at 5.45pm perfo
laser
Jun 6, 2017
I assume you would not be lasering the lips. If so, you should not have a problem. Laser treatments could affect the filler if the laser penetrates deeply and the filler is superficial. Just stay away from the lips and you should be fine.
Bumpy and outlined filler: 2 Weeks post Juvederm.
filler
Jun 6, 2017
Since this is an HA filler it can be removed with hyaluronidase. I would suggest dissolving what you have and starting over.
Will hydroquinone fade the darkness of these scars?
hydroquinone
Jun 6, 2017
Hydroquinone is for removing melanin pigment from the skin. That is, dark discoloration from melasma or some other form of damage. Scars, as you have, are red in color due to increased vascularity or blood flow. Hydroquinone will not help these. Two things will…time, or light treatments. The redness will fade with time but it can take a year or more. I would recommend using laser genesis by Cutera. This is a YAG laser that has no down time and it…
What could I do to make my lower lip look less droopy?
Lower lip assymetry
May 3, 2017
I would not recommend surgery. I would recommend trying a hyaluronic acid filler for initial correction. If this does the trick, when the problem resurfaces after the filler is gone (12 mos or so) you could re-fill with Silicon 1000 for permanent correction.
Dissolving Juvederm in tear trough gone horribly wrong!
removing filler
May 3, 2017
You should have no problem dissolving the filler with hyaluronidase.
It is difficult to tell from the pictures but you may want to consider treating the skin to improve the texture and color or a trans-conjunctival blepharoplasty with laser.
3 months post CoolSculpting and I don’t see any changes. Advice?
CoolSculpt
Apr 13, 2017
In general, each treatment or cycle will get rid of 20% of the fat in the area treated. After 2 treatments, removing 40% of the fat, you will be able to see a significant difference from your baseline, that is if the treatment was done properly and the “stick of butter” was massaged for 10 minutes after the applicator was removed. One treatment is rarely adequate.
Thank you and good luck.
