Thankyou for your astute question. I have seen this happen when the HA was injected under the orbicularis oculi muscle and then after a period of time it can , in some subjects , migrate to the subcutaneous plane.It is usually easily treated with the injection of hyaluronidase to dissolve the product.

Thank you for this great question. Before the advent of neuromodulators like Botox, people preferred to use filler injected along the crows’ feet lines especially when they are minimal to moderate. Now in the days of three dimensional filler use ,when they are ” long crows”and extend down the lateral cheek we usually use hyaluronic acid filler in the subdermal plane because then there is zero risk of affecting the smile by weakening zygomaticus major.
I got Botox under my eyes in March and it created horrible under eye bags. What can I do?

Thank you for your excellent photos. In some people the use of Botox in the lateral orbicularis and the inferior orbicularis weakens the muscle pump and eyelid swelling in the result.Massage can be helpful and sleeping with your head elevated on a couple of pillows also. It seems to take several weeks to settle . You may wish to either avoid Botox injections in this area in the future or consider a greatly reduced dose as you are obviously more sensitive here to its effects.

The lip not only has a very dense vascularity but also is mobile. From your photo I cant really tell if the bruise extends to the inside of your lip?We know how traumatic it can be to get a lip bruise as the general public think it was from your partner . We treat the external ( skin side) lip bruise with Intense Pulsed Light. This oxidises the hemoglobin and the bruise is usually gone in 2-3 days.
