What can be done to treat depressed scars on my nose while on Accutane?
Depressed Acne Scars on Nose
Jun 17, 2019
Nasal scars are more difficult because the nose tissue has very thick skin and a dense concentration of oil glands sitting on top of soft cartilage. We find the non-invasive Pico Fractional laser, either by itself or combined with dermal fillers, work well with acne scarring on the nose. Acutane is safe with pico lasers and visa versa. There are several other possible relevant possibilities, but it depends on the position and depth of the scarring, so it’s…

Skincare and Pico for Large Pores
Jun 17, 2019
There is a lot that can be done but it is important to know that you need to continually do maintenance treatments to keep refining and making the pores smaller.
Coarser pores are principally due to partial obstruction of the oil duct opening onto the surface of the skin. So blockage and relative obstruction is the principal cause.
Treatment involves adequate cleansing and exfoliation of the dead surface cell layer on the surface of the epidermis.

Therefore twice daily use of AHA…

What are my options for this depression in the middle of my forehead?
Filler for a forehead ridge
Feb 17, 2019
Thanks for sharing your photos. This is a relatively easy thing to correct with the use of volumising dermal fillers spread evenly through your skin with injection cannulas. It’s a relatively quick procedure done in an office taking less than half an hour. It’s important to come back for a massage on the following day to ensure the filler settles correctly, and it can produce a smoother forehead.
How do I get rid of post acne marks? Should I use AHA peeling, vitamin c, dermarolling? They’re not
Combined approach for acne scarring
Feb 17, 2019
Hi Astrid, for minor acne scarring and pigmentation issues, the newer fractional Pico lasers offer a relatively non-invasive, faster repair of skin such as yours. I would recommend to also use a combination of antioxidants, vitamin serums and pigment inhibitors in your skincare routine.
In your photo, it looks like you may have some inflammation. With some acne scar repair laser treatments, there is a risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin), but the risk is lower…
I’ve done 2 fractional laser treatments. What can you suggest for my acne scars?
A different type of laser
Feb 17, 2019
In addition to the other answers, we have found that the fractionated Pico lasers show an excellent improvement with acne scarring. The advantage is that they are much less invasive with much less downtime than the longer pulse hotter lasers. As with the other suggestions, we would always recommend a comprehensive consultation to give you a personalised treatment plan.
Deep acne scars – Would subcision be a good idea for me or should I look into laser resurfacing? (p
Acne Scarring Treatment Options
Feb 11, 2019
Traditionally, these ice pick and box scars have been treated with such surgical procedures, and partial improvement can occur with repeated ablative laser treatments using CO2 and Erbium lasers, boosted by associated treatments such as skin needling or PRP injections.
However, the quickest and least invasive treatments that are now showing improved results are with the deeper fractional Pico lasers. They require fewer treatments with much less downtime and no ablation, bleeding or scabbing….

Heat Effect of Lasers
Feb 11, 2019
MonaLisa and Gynaelase lasers have no heat effect on the vulva unless you direct the laser towards the vulva, so people who have had, or may have a precancerous lesion are not necessarily excluded from these treatments. You might want to ask your doctor why you were recommended not to have this treatment.
