I'm interested in PRP for hair loss and was wondering if it really works and which treatment course is
PRP for female hair loss
May 23, 2017
May 23, 2017
PRP is a great option for female pattern hair loss, the genetic and hormonal type of hair loss. Result include fuller and thicker hair and slowing down the hair loss process. PRP treatments are most effective for women (and men) who have the problem for less than 5 years. Typically 4 treatments are done monthly to see improvement and if good results are seen, continued treatment would be recommended every 4-6 months. It would be best to have an evaluation with a...
PRP for thinning hair?
PRP for medication induced hair loss
Mar 26, 2017
Mar 26, 2017
PRP is most effective for the diagnosis of Androgenetic Alopecia, more commonly known as male or female pattern hair loss. It may help other types of hair loss as well but they would not be the main indication for this treatment. From your history, both your underlying chronic condition of Ulcerative colitis AND the medications you are taking can all contribute to the hair thinning that you are experiencing. PRP treatments can be used for you, but the...
Having swelling on forehead and under eyes after PRP therapy?
Swelling after PRP treatment for Hair loss
Mar 26, 2017
Mar 26, 2017
After PRP treatments it is not uncommon to have some swelling and even bruising on the treated areas and even extending onto the forehead and around the eye areas. Ice can be very helpful to diminish this which should resolve within a week of treatment. The swelling should be improving day by day and if it is not, It is best to have your doctor take a look at the swelling to be sure it is ok.
What is the average time frame for swelling after first Kybella treatment?
Swelling after Kybella
Mar 26, 2017
Mar 26, 2017
Significant swelling after Kybella typically lasts about 2 weeks and then can persist for some degree for several weeks after that. It is not unusual for some degree of swelling and even some bruising to persist for 7 weeks. In some instances it may last longer. Nodules(lumps) may develop after treatment and may not uncommonly persist throughout this time period. Gentle massage may be helpful and other treatments may be discussed with your doctor if the nodules...

Botox for Deep glabellar lines
Mar 26, 2017
Mar 26, 2017
Botox can certainly be used to help soften these lines but it will not erase them because they are too deep at rest. A filler can be added after the botox injections to give you an even better correction. If you keep up with the botox every 4-5 months, you will keep the problem from getting worse so I think Botox could play a nice role in your cosmetic enhancement.
