Hello Gigi,
In my practice I see that Restylane Silk does cause more swelling than plain Restylane or even Belotero or Juvaderm. It will do the same on the bottom lip. That is why it is important to discuss your plan with your injector. Although this product causes temporary swelling it leaves the patient with a great look. I prefer this to the others until Restylane Refyne was released and this one is even more soft and natural and less swelling. I hope this has helped.

Hello, I am sorry that you are having this experience. I would say that in my experience the units that you received are not sufficient to relax the 11s and the crows feet area. I would use 20-30 units in the glabellar area alone based on a detailed exam in most patients. Some men patients actually require more. Around the eye area I would use between 10-15 units on each side depending on the lines and age of patient. Don't give up on Botox. When done right it is an amazing look. I think...

Thank you for your question. I would like to see photos. What amount did you have injected? In my opinion if you want to attract less swelling and have a softer look I would choose Belotero. It is not for everyone. Some people want the stiffer product to plump with more volume but with Belotero I have found that I can create beautiful softer natural looking lips with 2 syringes for most people.

Hello. Thank you for your question and photos. In my opinion it is important to focus on the desired look with each of my patients, the type of hyaluronic acid filler that generally suits their lip and take my time working to create the desired natural look. In your case I would likely choose Restylane Silk as I think it would help volumize gently the mid portion of the lip or the belly portion and also give support to the sides to prevent them from caving in....

Thank you for your question about Belotero and filling nasolabial folds. In my experience, Belotero is not the best filler to use to tackle deeper nasolabial folds. It is great filler for lips, tear troughs, fine lines around the mouth. I would say that the reason that you do not see the effect now is because the product was not supportive enough for that area. I would have chosen Radiesse but without seeing photos it is difficult to tell.

Thank you for your question on filling nasolabial folds. From your photos, I would likely choose Radiesse as it is a collagen stimulator and has ability to last longer and give more volume than the HA fillers like Juvaderm. You may need to combine the two products using Radiesse in the nasolabials and then to soften the lines around the mouth using a HA filler like Juvaderm.

From your photo I think that you could be a good candidate for Radiesse in the cheek area to soften the malar area and festoon. Have you had tear trough injections with a HA filler? It is hard to tell from the photo, but I would like to see how your muscles around the eye and the forehead move with expressions to determine what would be the best treatment. Also how deep the line is and whether there are vessels in the area. On filling etched lines on the forehead, I almost always combine Botox or Xeomin with a filler such as Belotero or Restylane. I prefer to use Sculptra in this area especially in a patient that requires more volume due their face shape. It is the longest lasting filler on the market and it builds your own collagen. The chances of nodules are low but make sure to find a skilled physician injector. You most likely will need 2 to 3 treatments but this will lead to the best results. Hello,

I am sorry to hear about your under eye filler experience. Personally I have not seen the filler migrate after 3 months time, however mostly likely this is a hyluronic acid filler such as Restylane or Belotero and it can be dissolved with hylurondiase. I would return to your skilled injector and ask to have it dissolved more if it is bothering you. You will see change within minutes of the injection and may get better over a few days.

From your photo, I would use a hyaluronic acid filler to soften the fine lines and I think that you would be best suited to also use Radiesse in your cheeks to help lift the midface and minimize the smile lines for a longer lasting effect.

Hi. I would not recommend using Juvaderm or this class of product called hyaluronic acid fillers for the temples. For one, a product like Juvaderm may show in this area and this class is not long acting for this area. You will get some volume but for the cost it may only last 6 months. I would recommend that you find someone skilled in Sculptra injections in the temple. It is a longer process with maybe 2-3 sessions to achieve the volume in this area by building your own collagen....
