Botox relaxes muscles. Hyaluronic acid (Juvederm, Restylane, etc) are fillers. Botox works best on lines that are formed with facial expression. Fillers work best to treat lines that are seen "at rest". None should be used in pregnancy.

Botox cosmetic is not ideal for treating under the eyes. The unwanted lines are not always dynamic (caused by muscle movement) and often redundant skin is present. We have found much more success with monthly platelet rich plasma injections, for 4 months.

Puffiness can be treated with surgical removal of fat, wrinkles and extra skin can be treated with platelet rich plasma injections.
