Coolsmooth Pro
Aug 6, 2017
The Coolsmooth pro takes 1 hr and 15 min. Given the pictures you provided I can see why the office choose that hand piece to treat you. If the only non-invasive device we had was Coolsculpting we might have done the same thing. However we would not have made any representations about skin tightening.
Having said all that we would have recommended SculpSure in your case because the heat load induced from the laser treatment can contribute to some collagen remodeling and the SculpSure can…
Would Cellfina or Cellulaze work best for me?
Cellfina would deliver great results
Aug 5, 2017
Cellfina is a much more non-invasive approach to treating cellulite than Cellulaze and also has less after treatment side effects. You should have very good results on your thighs although the pictures of the back were a little harder to see.
One last resource for you is this site itself. Cellfina has an 84% approval rating as opposed to 50% for Cellulaze.
CoolSculpting in pregnancy?
Coolsculpting during Pregnancy
Mar 10, 2017
We always decline to provide any aesthetic treatments during pregnancy. It just isnt worth the risk. In addition, you may actually benefit by waiting in the case of any weight gain during pregnancy.
Thermal event detected at last 7 minutes of CoolMini treatment for double chin, is it still effect
Thermal Event
Feb 28, 2017
We have also experienced Thermal events during the five and one half years we have been performing Coolsculpting. It actually is the machines way to protect you from injury. We have found that if it happens at the 10 minute mark or less the result is not effected. However we do note the file and at the three month follow up if we see that the results do not come up to expectation we provide a free treatment of that area. I would suggest that you contact the office and make…
Kybella and downtime – would lipo be a better option?
Kybella vs Smartlipo
Feb 25, 2017
The original protocol was to inject 2 or 3 cc’s of lidocaine into the treatment area prior to injecting the Kybella. That resulted in quite a bit of swelling. We have since ceased the lidocaine and we now use ice to numb the injection area. This switch has dramatically reduced the swelling.

We perform Smartlipo on the neck as well and I can assure you that Kybella is extremely more comfortable and the recovery is instant in that you can resume normal activity the next day. The Smartlipo h…

No Massage
Feb 24, 2017
I would call the Doc back and ask if he has noted in your file the fact that the nurse forgot to massage you. If your results are not apparent to you at the three month follow up I would ask to be retreated at no cost. All providers are instructed to massage the area after treatment to further agitate the crystallized fat cells.
Im sure it was an honest mistake and they should want to make it right.
Cellfina VS Cellulaze – which one is better and why?
Why we chose Cellfina
Feb 24, 2017
Both Cellfina and Cellulaze deal with the root cause of cellulite. The difference is in the degree of invasiveness employed to cut through the fibrous septae bands to release the dimples. Cellulaze uses a laser that fires to the side and forward to cut through the bands where Cellfina uses a mechanical surgical blade to cut through the bands.

With Cellfina most clients find the pain of treatment to be about a 4 or 5 in a 1 to 10 range where 10 is unbearable.

The recovery is very fast…

One big applicator or 2 small applicators for my abdomen?
Applicator Placement
Feb 24, 2017
Without a physical examination and manipulation of the fat in the treated area it is difficult to be 100% certain. However the most economical course of action would be to treat the tummy with the large applicator. At the three month mark if there is a little overhang you can always treat the upper area and in our practice it would be at half price.

Not to add confusion to the matter but after seeing your front view picture have you ever considered doing the flanks as well as the tummy?…

Should It be a red flag if a plastic surgery office post Groupon deals?
Why???
Sep 25, 2015
If an office was so slow that they have to discount surgical procedures in the manner of a restaurant trying to fill tables that would certainly be a red flag for me.
Can Zeltiq Cool Sculpting Be Used for Upper Arm Fat?
Upper Arm Fat
Jun 14, 2012
The Coolsculpting machine was designed for flanks (love handles) then expanded to the abdominal area with a larger applicator. When we have attempted to do arms and inner thighs for that matter, our client satisfaction rate fell from 100% to around 60%. We have found that arms and thighs are better treated with our Smartlipo solution and that is currently what we advise on a case by case basis.

When you have multiple solutions there is no need to force a device into service for…

How Long Does the Coolsculpting Procedure Last and How Many Treatments Are Needed?
Permanent reults and one hour per area
Jun 14, 2012
It has been our experience that our patients are seeing results as significant as two to three inches when they have done abdomen and flanks. Between 21 to 25 % of the fat cells are destroyed through apoptosis. Even with weight gain we have seen the treated areas remain relatively smaller than the untreated areas.
