What would fix wrinkles and crepey skin around my eyes?
Crepey skin around eyes
Nov 10, 2019
I have had a lot of success tightening the skin around the eyes with  a procedure called ThermiSmooth. This is a non invasive painless procedure that uses radio frequency.
Can CoolSculpting help with saggy skin? What other procedures can help get rid of excess fat and tighten
Abdominal pooch
Apr 1, 2017
I believe you would benefit by doing CoolSculpting to your lower abdomen.   If after the CoolSculpting is done and you wish to have some skin tightening, this can be achieved with a skin tightening procedure called ThermiTight.
Where in the body are grams of fat that are consumed after CoolSculpting deposited?
Fat consumption after CoolSculpting
Apr 1, 2017
CoolSculpting will induce premature cell death of the fat cells in the treated area called apoptosis. Once these fat cells are gone they do not regrow.  In order to achieve the optimal results it is important for patients to be in neutral calorie intake.  If you consume excess calories it will be stored as fat in the remaining fat cells of the body.
Is this a normal result from Juvederm Ultra in lips? I'm wondering if the swelling will go down evenly?
Lip Swelling after fillers
Apr 1, 2017
Obviously, this is not a desired result but I would advise you that patients can sometimes get significant swelling after getting fillers in the lips. The swelling can take 1-2 weeks to fully subside so despite the immediate undesirable result it is not unreasonable, as hard as it may be, to wait it out.  Regarding your question about the relative size of the upper and lower lip, sometimes one lip will swell more than other. IN addition, there are some newer lip fillers that I would have i...
Sagging skin on upper arms, will CoolSculpting help?
CoolSculpting for arms
Mar 5, 2017
CoolSculpting can be used for fat reduction on the arms but it is primarily for fat reduction not skin tightening. Brachioplasty is a surgical solution for skin tightening on the arms but it can leave an unsightly scar. If you want a minimally invasive alternative you might want to consider Thermi Tight. A picture would be helpful to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure. Congratulations on your 100 pound loss
Why doctor told me to keep clenching during Botox injection for Jaw Reduction?
Botox for Masseter muscle
Oct 7, 2016
This is just a way for the physician to better locate the boundaries of the muscle.
"Cool Mini" to get rid of double chins... Does it work?
Treating Double Chins
Oct 1, 2016
CoolSculpting and Kybella are two safe non surgical alternatives to reducing double chins.  Both are FDA cleared to treat submental (double chin) fat.  At this point the jury is out as to which one is more efficacious so it becomes a matter of patient and physician preference. The CoolMini applicator (CoolSculpting) was specifically designed  to treat submental fat but is limited if the patient is too narrow and proper suction cannot be achieved.  This is necessary for the fat to be drawn up ...
Can Cool Sculpting be done in the axilla or armpit and bra area?
CoolSculpting for bra fat
Apr 22, 2016
CoolSculpting can absolutely be done in those bulges that develop both in front of and behind the armpit area. I have been doing it for years. In fact the makers of CoolSculpting recently got FDA clearance to promote these areas, which is commonly referred to as "Bra Fat".
Juvederm to make a subtle change in top lip?
Lip filler
Apr 17, 2016
You can certainly only inject the upper lip if you want.  Juvederm or Restylane Line of products can be used.  It is quite possible to create a more subtle look by adjusting the amount that is injected.  Be wary of injectors who will sell you a portion of the syringe.  Either a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon would be the best ones to consult with.
If you get CoolSculpting of inner and outer thighs at the same time, would you expect a 40% reduction in
How much of a reduction does one get with CoolSculpting
Dec 18, 2015
This is an excellent question. One would not however expect a 40% reduction in the diameter of your thigh. This is because the reduction caused by CoolSculpting is in the fatty tissue only not in all the mass of the thigh i.e. the muscle, bone etc.
Can a medical esthetician administer/ inject dermal fillers, in New York?
Who can inject inject dermal fillers?
Jul 18, 2015
Many places such as spas will advertise cut rate fees for fillers and Botox and claim that although the injections are being done by non medical personnel it is being done under medical supervision. Understand what that means. In many cases there is no physician even on site at the time of the treatment. Furthermore no one is evaluating the appropriateness of the procedure prior to the treatment. Once complications arise there are limits to what can be done to ameliorate them. A medical...
Restylane for chest wrinkles?
Chest wrinkles
May 10, 2015
I would recommend Ultherapy, which is now FDA approved for reduction of wrinkles in the décolletage area. If you want to improve the lentiginous (brown spots) damage then a series of IPL treatments can be helpful.
Will botox help lift my upper eyelids?
eyebrow lift
Apr 18, 2015
Eyebrow lifts are commonly done with some carefully placed Botox injections. In addition, this can be done with a short Ultherapy treatment. The advantage is that it is longer lasting but but has a slower onset than Botox. I will frequently do both so that you get some quick improvement with the Botox till the Ultherapy kicks in. Finally, an eyebrow lift can be done surgically but your ptosis (drooping appears mild) and you could probably avoid any surgery for now and...
What would be the best filler for smile lines that are more extreme from the lower lip to the chin area?
Fillers for Marionettes lines
Feb 5, 2015
There are a number of fillers which can add volume to this area. Of the hyaluronic acid fillers products such as Perlane, Juvederm Ultra Plus and even Juvederm Voluma would improve this area. In addition, Radiesse can be a good choice.
Tazorac is causing my skin to peel - Can I do anything to help the exfoliating process along?
Skin peeling from Tazorac
Jan 12, 2015
There are a number of measures you can take. You can first of all make sure you are using the product sparingly. You can also try a light facial moisturizer, make sure you are suing a gentle facial cleanser, using alternate day therapy with Tazorac or even what we call short contact therarpy (applying Tazorac in the evening and then washing it off after an hour).
