Dr Apte Dentist in Exeter, EX1 1NS
In 2005, Dr. Apte pivoted from dentistry to medical aesthetics. “Aesthetic medicine has changed so much over the last 16 years I have been practicing,” she says. “With so many changes and improvements in products and results that we can now achieve, I felt that this was the career for me.”
Dr. Apte offers a range of medical aesthetic treatments at her Exeter medspa, Skin Southwest. Popular options include lip augmentation and nonsurgical rhinoplasty via dermal fillers like Ellansé and Juvéderm, as well as neuromodulator injections such as Botox, to smooth the appearance of wrinkles.
Dr. Apte is also skilled in a broad range of noninvasive and minimally invasive treatments that can improve the appearance of both face and body. Her treatment menu includes chemical peels, advanced electrolysis hair removal, Endymed, intense pulsed light (IPL or photofacial), Trusculpt Flex, and more. “I am very passionate about such treatments and aim to achieve a natural, refreshed, and rejuvenated appearance for my clients, utilising these minimally invasive treatments and techniques,” she says.
With every patient she sees, Dr. Apte’s mission is to connect with them on a personal level and align on the best treatment plan to achieve their aesthetic goals and inspire confidence.
“I love nothing more than being an artist as I work on my patients. Aesthetic medicine has to be an art form for enhancing the patients’ own beauty with subtle yet real changes,” she says. “I create natural-looking results with all my treatments. My honesty, my reviews, and the results I deliver speak for themselves.”
Whether your concerns include ageing skin, acne scars, hyperpigmentation, pronounced veins, stubborn fat, or other issues, Dr. Apte can help address them, leaving you feeling more beautiful and confident.

question. While surgery is certainly a longer term solution there are a number
of risks associated with it, particularly as it is performed under general anaesthetic,
and the downtime can be many weeks. I
wonder if you had considered a Silhouette Soft thread lift instead? Silhouette Soft is non-surgical and is performed
under local anaesthetic in less than an hour.
It works by lifting areas of lax or sagging skin using dissolvable
sutures. The results are...

question. I wonder if you have heard
that it is possible to treat the neck and face non-surgically using Silhouette
Soft thread which can lift sagging skin both on the neck and midface? The
results are instant, however they continue to improve over the coming 3 months
as the treatment also stimulates the body’s own collagen production, improving
the lift still further as well as improving the quality of the skin.
You look as though
you could benefit from some r...

it’s best to avoid any non-essential treatment while pregnant. The health of
your baby is always a priority; women’s bodies can respond to pregnancy in a
variety of ways, and it is difficult to predict how it may react to treatment. While
incredibly rare, there is always a risk with any treatment of complications,
and this is certainly best avoided while pregnant. Additionally, pregnancy tend
to see women carrying excess weight, which is likely to be lost ove...

I suspect, given what you are describing that you may only be a day or so post
treatment, in which case, some swelling is normal, with many patients
experiencing post treatment discomfort and minor swelling. I would recommend
ice packs and if you are experiencing any discomfort you can take paracetamol. A
very low dose of codeine could also help if needed. If you are still concerned
after 3-4 days I would advise contacting your clinician, and would also...

I always recommend that any skin treatment is performed ahead of thread
lifting. Treatments such as laser resurfacing stimulate collagen production,
giving the threads more to latch onto during treatment, and help to deliver an
even better result.

From looking at your photograph, I would suggest you would be suitable for
Silhouette Soft thread lifting treatment. Silhouette Soft is a non-surgical skin lift,
which can lift sagging skin on your neck jowls and lower face. The dissolvable threads are inserted just under
the surface of the skin, and can lift and tighten the skin in the treated areas.
The results are instant, however they continue to improve over the coming 3
months as the treatment...
