Hello,Typically, a lip flip is when a provider injects four to six units of Botox into the upper lip. This relaxed the muscles above the lip and can give the appearance of a subtle increase in volume. Usually, the lip flip is so subtle, that I recommend a dermal filler, such as Juvederm or Volbella if someone truly wants an increase in lip volume. A skilled injector can make the volume look natural and will likely give a better outcome.

Hello,While Botox often can lift the arch of the eyebrow and make the eyes open some, only surgery can remove excess skin on the upper eyelid. I recommend trying Botox to see if it gives the result you are looking for, and if it the result is too subtle, and your other options are laser tightening of the lid or surgery.

The good news is that the effects of Botox should only last 3 or 4 months. It should not make your nose droop. It sounds as if you might be experiencing a brow droop from the muscles of the forehead being over-relaxed. Perhaps the brow droop is making you notice the nose more. All of this should resolve and it would be good to return to your provider to see if they can help it resolve more quickly.

I have some patients who notice the affects of Botox as early as the next day. In general, it takes 3 days for the effects to begin and 10 to see the full effect. I would not worry if you see the effect earlier. That does not mean that it will wear off more quickly. Sometimes, especially the first time, it just kicks in more quickly than average. Please rest assured. Though we do not recommend Botox during pregnancy, it is a local treatment and is completely absorbed after a few hours. Because we do not study elective procedures on pregnant women, there are only small trials in which pregnant women received Botox. In those trials, Botox did not affect the baby.
