Yes - Accutane should help with your Rosacea and it can potentially improve the KP. It's hard to evaluate the facial swelling you are mentioning here so an in-person assessment is recommended. Accutane will make you more photosensitive - meaning an increased sensitivity to UV light. I advise all of my patients taking Accutane that they have an increased risk for experiencing bad sun burns. Proper sun protection is strongly recommended. In general, tanning beds are NEVER a good option! Tanning beds emit 3-6 times the amount of radiation given off by the sun. Patients who experience headaches after Botox injections usually will experience relief with Tylenol or Advil. Check with your cosmetic provider before your next appointment to see what he or she recommends to mitigate discomfort. Remember to avoid Advil prior to injections for 1-2 weeks to decrease risk of bruising.

Adding lip filler would be a great option for you before doing a Botox "lip flip." You can start by adding a syringe of filler to add volume to the upper lip which would help improve the shape and balance the upper lip with the lower lip fullness. Adding lip filler can also correct minor asymmetries of the lip and improve hydration. Please make sure to have an in-person consultation with an experienced injector!

These are very superficial injections (approximately 2 -3 mm) with a very fine needle. The injection is not painful and very well tolerated by most patients. Please see an experienced injector as the DAO can sometimes be a trickier muscle to locate and inject properly. Best of luck!

It sounds more like the Botox may have migrated due to poor injection technique. I allow patients to exercise 4 hours after the initial injection. You would want to avoid vigorous exercise for 4 hours after injection to mitigate risk of bruising. You should be able to practice yoga after Botox injections with little to no risk of migration.

An average range could be anywhere from 10-20 units of Botox per side. I have found that the muscle tends to shrink in size after 1-2 treatments.
