As a previous ObGyn, I am have never counseled patients to stop birth control pills prior to any type of minimally invasive surgery that required local anesthesia. The birth control pills will have no effect on the level of anesthesia you will have. Meaning you will still be just as comfortable while still taking your BCP's.

This could be an added picture of just pinching your lower belly to see how close the pinching fingers get before there is fat resistance.
