What is the best way to lift the tail of the brow: filler, Botox or threads?
Fillers, Botox amd threads
Jan 7, 2019
That
depends on a lot of things including the age of the patient, the degree of lift
required, the laxity or otherwise of the skin. In order to give you the best
advice an examination in person is essential. This will allow your practitioner to determine the anatomy and the condition of the tissues, and thus what
is likely to work for you.
Botox alone can be very useful, particularly in younger patients,
to give a subtle lift to the tail of the brow. This is relatively economical
but...
I am going to have Silhouette Soft but am nervous. Are there any later symptoms to be aware of?
This is your face, and it is healthy for you to ask questions.
Jan 7, 2019
It is quite normal to be a little anxious prior to any
procedure. This is your face, and it is healthy for you to ask questions.
Firstly, please ask a few prudent questions of your doctor -
don’t be afraid to question their qualifications and their experience with this
procedure. This is crucial towards getting best results. Your doctor should
have a thorough initial consultation with you to make sure you are a suitable
candidate for the procedure, to advise you of the process and to d...
Is there a non surgical treatment to lower the eyebrows?
Brow positioning
Jan 7, 2019
Brow positioning is determined by a number of factors butpredominantly this is related to the muscle activity of frontalis (the foreheadmuscle) and the structural fat support on the area. Depending on yourassessment there are a number of different treatments that can be used toachieve your desired result. Botox to augment the muscle activity, dermalfiller to support the area around the brow, or other treatment modalities suchas threads could all be considered. The anatomy in this area is...
How Do I Treat Bruising After Lip Augmentation with Restalyn?
Bruising after lip fillers can sometimes occur, this is normal.
Jan 7, 2019
Bruising after lip fillers may occur when the small needle
hits tiny blood vessels hidden underneath the skin, and swelling is the body’s
natural response to an injury - in this case, via the needle. It’s important to
note that, no matter how experienced the injector is, there is always the risk
of bruising and swelling - however, the amount of bruising and swelling can be
minimized through appropriate pre- and post-treatment care.
For example, you may take Arnica tablets or apply top...
Can filler be used to mimic the results of a lip lift? What is this technique called?
Less invasive treatment than lip lifts
Jan 7, 2019
Since lip fillers are non-surgical, they are a much less invasive treatment than lip lifts. The goalof lip fillers is to provide natural volume to your lips. However, injectiontechnique and choice of correct filler product, can produce a lifted look tothe lip, without providing an undesirable over-projected look. I wouldrecommend also injecting the Cupid’s bow area and philtrum to reduce thedistance between the nostril base and the lip.
How long before I look normal and is this ok after the silhouette procedure? I'm 9 day post-op. (
Silhouette Soft can cause bruising and swelling
Jan 7, 2019
Whenever I perform any procedures on my patients, I make sure
that I am available to address any concerns, and I would not want them worrying
at home. With this in mind, please do contact your Doctor as I am sure they
will want to reassure you.
Silhouette Soft does cause bruising and swelling. In your case I
can see what seems to be swelling around a thread. This can occur, and is the
inflammatory response to having something ‘foreign’ in there. Threads are
sometimes placed in an L sha...
Is it normal for lips to be tender a month after lip injections?
Pain after lip injections
Nov 9, 2018
It’s not usual for lips following lip filler to still feel very sore and tender a month later, it could indicate your having a reaction to the Teosyal filler or suffering from low grade inflammatory response. I would recommend that you return to your clinic to allow them to examine you properly.Because you've had a hyaluronic acid filler that isn’t permanent it can be dissolved with an enzyme called hyaluronidase if deemed necessary. Here at the Cosmetic Skin Clinic we often use cannulas to ...
