Would fillers in the temples, nose tip, upper lip, and chin enhance the femininity of my facial st
Facial Structure
Sep 5, 2019
This evaluation is based on the photos submitted, but it is still best to be seen in office for an accurate treatment plan. To balance out your facial features, a small amount of volume can be added to your temples which will help elevate your lateral brow. You can also benefit from lateral cheek filler which will help lift the lower face. Your bottom lip has great shape and volume, so we would want to add more volume and definition to the upper lip. Also, by adding more projection to your...
How can I get rid of these scars on my face?
Rid of Acne Scars
Sep 5, 2019
Great question! It would be best to assess your skin in person but based on these photos I would start with a series of 4-6 microneedling treatments. Microneedling is a treatment that helps smooth out skin texture, improve fine lines, and reduce the appearance of scars. The treatment involves numbing for 30 minutes, and then going over the skin with several passes with the microneedling pen. The skin is left appearing red, feels tight, and might flake for about 1-3 days. After a series of...
What's my scarring level and what is the best treatment for my Asian skin type?
Acne Scars
Sep 4, 2019
It appears you have icepick, boxcar, and hypertrophic acne scars. To treat these scars, it is very important to be gentle with your skin type. My suggestion would be to start with a series of TCA chemical peels and afterwards do a series of microneedling treatments. Best of luck!
Can Botox reduce the horizontal lines/creases above lips when I smile?
Perioral Mouth Lines
Jun 6, 2019
The cause of your perioral mouth lines is due to repetitive muscle movement, that leads to etched lines in the skin. Botox can be used to prevent the lines from worsening with a single treatment, but to improve the lines even more it will take several consecutive treatments that are done 3-4 months apart.
Is it normal for lips to look asymmetric after getting injections for the first time?
Lip Swelling Post Lip Filler
Jun 6, 2019
Your first time getting lip injections is a learning experience. It is normal to have mild swelling and bruising after injections. Typically I have my patients ice and keep their head elevated for 24hrs post treatment to help subside swelling. The swelling and bruises that you have are most likely contributing to the asymmetry seen in your lips. Give yourself a full 2 weeks before truly assessing the appearance. Then at your follow up appointment, be sure to address any concerns if the...
Is injecting Botox under eyes a new procedure for wrinkles?
BOTOX with Greenwich Medical Spa!
May 20, 2019
Great Question! Botox is used to reduce muscle contraction that causes expression lines, such as the crow’s feet. It can also be used more superficially under the eye to help reduce the “crepiness” of the skin there. It is not the answer for everyone, because in some individuals it can make the lower eyelid sag. For this reason, be sure to go to an expert injector who knows their anatomy. I hope this helps.

Eliminating acne scars on brown skin?
The best treatment for your skin type is two-fold
Jan 19, 2018
The best treatment for this type of scarring and for your skin type is two-fold. The trauma caused to the skin from acne/chicken pox caused discoloration to the area, formally a condition called Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). PIH is caused by injury to the skin that results in an overdrive of the melanocytes (cells producing melanin or brown pigment), therefore, creating darker spots at the site of the scar. Although PIH can occur in all skin types, it is more common in people of...
Juvederm Voluma before hip surgery?
Voluma before Surgery
Feb 21, 2017
I would recommend getting approval from your orthopedic surgeon. As long as the Voluma is injected with sterile technique before placement, it should not be a problem. However, there is always a small risk of infection with any filler placement and if your filler was to become infected, it could prevent you from getting your hip replacement until the infection is resolved.
Lip Injections: approx. how many vials would it take to get the look of my Wish Pic?
Juvederm for Lips
Jan 31, 2017
I would recommend 1 syringe of Juvederm Ultra to add volume to your lips and create the fullness you desire in your "wish pic." I would then recommended 1ml of Juvederm Volbella to accentuate the lip lines.
What kind of filler and how much needed to restore volume in face?
Voluma
Dec 8, 2015
Weight loss does cause facial volume loss (as does aging, however, turning 30 is still on the young spectrum in regards to facial volume loss). I would recommend Juvederm Voluma, the first filler FDA-approved for mid-face volume loss. This would be injected right along the top of the zygomatic arch (facial cheek bone) to lift the skin and add volume in the mid-face where you have lost it. Other Hyaluronic Acid (HA) fillers are too thin to add volume and are preferred for lines and...

Treatment Intervals for LHR
Oct 9, 2015
The Laser Hair Removal process, medically referred to as Photothermolysis, requires that a hair is present in the follicle in order for the light to be absorbed. When the light is absorbed at a specific wavelength, the destruction of stem cells occurs ultimately causing the hair follicle death. The length between cycles is determined by the hair growth cycles specific to area of hair being targeted so there is a stronger chance of the hair being present in the follicle for the laser to...
How many syringes of Juvederm do I need for the results I'm looking for?
Juvederm for lips
Oct 3, 2015
If you were injected with Juvederm Ultra last time, perhaps you need Juvederm Ultra Plus this time. Juverderm Ultra plus is thicker and typically lasts longer than Juvederm Ultra. Depending on the size of your natural lip and the desired size you could need anywhere from 1 syringe to 3 syringes, however I would not inject more than 2 syringes at a time. Lip augmentation is an art and the results are dependent as much on the injectors technique as they are on the amount injected.

Lip rejuvenation
Mar 19, 2015
Botox around the mouth lasts on average 3 months. This area is a very mobile area and often times very little Botox is used to prevent side effects. Side effects of too much Botox would be the inability to purse your lips around a fork or water bottle. Botox around the mouth helps improve the lines/wrinkles. Filler injected into the lip for augmentation lasts 6 months. Botox is less expensive around the mouth due to less of a dose. It...
What can I do to improve my very tired eyes?
Tired eyes
Mar 19, 2015
For a non-surgical approach you may want to try Restylane filler to each tear trough under your eyes. This will fill in the hollowness and make the darkness improve. The forehead can be lifted as well with doing a dual treatment with Ultherapy and Botox. Botox can be injected between your eyebrows and on each side to lift. The Ultherapy uses ultrasound technology that lifts and tightens the muscle and skin directly above the brow. Both of these treatments will...
Why do my lips get swollen (especially upper lip) after Juvederm, while sometimes my lips don't ge
Lip swelling
Feb 5, 2015
The lips are highly vascular and any trauma to the area can cause swelling. If any bleeding occurs then more swelling can occur. The clinician may have massaged the area more and/or inserted the needle more to perfect the appearance. This is all very normal and the swelling is temporary up to 1 week at times.I hope this helps.*none of the above is not intended as medical advice. If you have a medical concern, please consult your doctor.
