I have found that there is no true "one size fits all" formula for Botox. Every patient is unique in their circumstances and needs. It depends on the muscle size, strength of the muscle pull, how much muscle movement the patient wants. Best to be seen by your injector in person to determine number of units. On average, I would say approximately 20 units are used in most patients for a successful outcome.

As a board-certified OBGYN who performs this procedure regularly I implore my patients to give feedback if they are unhappy with their results. I would advocate speaking with your Viveve provider to discuss your concerns. They should be willing to answer your questions and offer a resolution that both parties can agree upon and be happy with.

We use Xeomin exclusively in my aesthetics practice, and we have had excellent results! I can achieve a "softer" look with less units than compared to Botox.

I use Xeomin exclusively in my aesthetics practice because I have found it gives a "softer" look than Botox. However, that is dependent on the amount of units injected and the placement by your provider. The full effect of Xeomin should be seen at two weeks. Unfortunately, there are no reversal agents to undo the effects of Xeomin. Typical results may wear off in three to four months.

Although I am a huge proponent of Xemoin, which we now use exclusively in my aesthetics practice, if you know you are resistant to both Botox & Dysport, unfortunately, chances are you are most likely resistant to Xeomin also.

We use Xeomin exclusively in my practice now after having transitioned away from Dysport and Botox. We have had enormous success with it. I don't use anywhere near 70 units on my patients- more like half that amount! Ideal results have a lot to do with the technique and placement of the practitioner performing your procedure. Make sure you only use an advanced aesthetic injector.

Xeomin is excellent, but it takes 7-10 days to see the full effects. It sounds like you received a fairly conservative amount. If after 10 days you don't see the result you desire simply contact your provider for a follow-up.

Botox gradually wears off and the effects are mostly gone by 3-4 months after treatment. I recommend to my patients to schedule an appointments every 3 months as part of a self-care maintenance regimen. Chewing gum would not have an effect on this process.
