Follow-Up Question: Bumps over brows not improving after 12 days. Will this ever get better? (phot
Bumps over brows after Botox.
Dec 7, 2018
Bumps this long after Botox are NOT normal. Usually, injection of Botox in larger amounts (5-10 units) over the medial brows like you have would resolve within 30-60 minutes, if not less. You state it was also painful which can mean a few things: 1. the injector may have gone through the network of blood vessels in this area & caused some deep bruising or inflammation; 2. the needle may have impacted the periosteum by accident, which is painful, & caused inflammation at the...
Do I have nonsurgical options to fix bad stomach lipo?
Nonsurgical options after poor abdominal Lipo.
Dec 7, 2018
Thank you for the question, Pink Sparkly Penguin (I had to put that in, it's fantastic!). Your liposuction results are unquestionably subpar & I am so sorry that this has happened to you. Given that, I would still recommend talking to your original surgeon about re-treatment free of charge. However, if you just want to wash your hands of the experience, Coolsculpting would definitely give you the results you want WITHOUT having to undergo surgery again....
I had a lumpectomy in 2005 with the removal of 8 lymph nodes. Can I get CoolSculpture done on my a
Coolsculpting after lymph node removal in left arm.
Dec 7, 2018
There is no reason that you can not have Coolsculpting done, especially as you are more than 1 year out from your surgery. Coolsculpting is non-invasive & has no downtime. I disagree with Dr. Grossman, however, as the number of treatments is entirely dependent on your body. If you have very little fat, you may require 2 treatment. If you have a lot, you may need 3 or 4. I suggest you go in to a certified Coolsculpting practice to have a personal consultation, which will give you...
Is it okay to do Coolsculpting on abs and back before breast lift and augmentation?
Coolsculpting before breast surgery?
Apr 21, 2017
That's a great question & I'm sure others would like to know. Coolsculpting is safe prior to surgery, although I do recommend having the treatments done at least 1 month prior. One caveat: Coolsculpting treatments in the same areas as your intended surgery should be discussed with your surgeon first. If you are considering liposuction, I would also discuss this with your Coolsculpting specialist as Coolsculpting is very often a great adjunct to liposuction. After my own tummy tuck...
Should I invest in Sculpsure/Coolsculpting, Fat Transfer, or a Brazilian Lift?
Which body sculpting procedure is best for me?
Mar 13, 2017
Hello Mrtkd95 & thank you for providing pictures. You're near your ideal weight & it appears you have stubborn external fat on the abdomen & hips/waist. Personally, I don't feel you require liposuction or any other surgery. You are a perfect candidate for Coolsculpting. Honestly, you have a beautiful shape that whichever procedure you choose will enhance.
Ultherapy treatment: I have stage 4 breast cancer and I'm on Ibrance and Letrozol.
Cancer drugs & Ultherapy results.
Mar 13, 2017
Hello Just4Cam. I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. My main concern is WHERE you are considering having Ultherapy & have you consulted your Oncologist. Your cancer doctor will have the first & last say on whether you may have Ultherapy. As a physician, I would not go forward without their input. Speak to your oncologist, then consult an experienced Ultherapy provider, preferably a physician given your special circumstances.
Questions on face shape, mainly jawline.
Botox to change the shape of the face.
Mar 13, 2017
Hello byakte,
I highly recommend you see an experienced injector for an evaluation. I regularly treat the Masseter in my office for patients with teeth grinding, clenching & TMJ pain. The key is to see if you are experiencing any of these problems as the treatments are more likely to be successful if you are. If you qualify, 25-50 units of Botox are usually injected PER SIDE. So it is quite expensive, but the results are dramatic. I myself grind & had TMJ. After Botox for a year, my...
Could there be a possible connection between Coolsculpting and Shingles?
Shingles & Coolsculpting connected?
Mar 13, 2017
DebiGat, that's an excellent question & one I've researched before. Your recent bout of Shingles is unlikely to be directly caused by Coolsculpting. It's more likely that the stress of the procedure contributed to a shingles outbreak that was coming & sped up the presentation. Just as any aesthetic procedure, injection, or treatment can contribute to the appearance of a cold sore, genital herpes, or even Bell's Palsy. It's tempting to blame the illness on the procedures,...
Why is Botox in corregators and between my eyes causing inner brows to drop the past three times?
Inner brow drop with Botox?
Mar 6, 2017
So sorry that you've experienced this complication. I have a hard time believing that the Botox migrated 3 times in a row. It's more likely it was placed too low, affecting the depressor supercillii. I would discuss this with your injector. If they are not familiar with the facial muscles & actions, it's time to find a new injector. I highly recommend you see an experienced physician in your area. Best wishes.
Why was I rejected for CoolSculpting?
Coolsculpting candidate, or not?
Mar 2, 2017
It's difficult to say whether you are a candidate or not via photos. A good CS consultant should both view & palpate the areas of possible treatment. That said, I'm surprised your abdomen was not eligible (from the photos). I highly recommend you get a second opinion from a Coolsculpting Certified Practice This means that all the staff has experience & has attended the Coolsculpting University. I'm proud to say my practice is one, but you most likely have one in your area. If...
Can ultherapy or rf infini cause more damage to the skin?
Fear that Ultherapy or RF procedure will cause skin damage
Mar 2, 2017
Thank you for your questions Carrie380. Ultherapy, done correctly, can help increase the collagen & elastin in the neck & result in tightening. You are an ideal candidate because of your age & skin condition (which looks beautiful, by the way!). My only concerns would be your level of pain tolerance & the operator experience. I am unfamiliar with RF microneedeling. At my office we use the Thermitight procedure, which is a minimally invasive RF skin...
Effect of Cialis on CoolSculpting?
Coolsculpting affected by Cialis?
Feb 27, 2017
Hello Boater24 & thank you for your question.
Cialis & Coolsculpting have very different mechanisms of action & will not affect each other. Just remember, body sculpting is a slow process & your best results should be seen around 3-4 months. You can maximize your Coolsculpting outcome with exercise & weight loss (if desired). Otherwise, rest assured Cialis has not affected your treatment(s).
Is it normal to have constant stinging pain 10 days post treatment? Lateral thigh area treated for
Stinging pain 10 days post Coolsculpting.
Feb 27, 2017
Thank you for your question Chipber. Unfortunately you are experiencing neuropathy, or nerve pain, post Coolsculpting. This is much more common with the 1st generation applicators. While it feels edematous, my office did before & after treatment measurements on staff & found no increased girth. The feeling can be attributed to the temporary nerve irritation & pain you are experiencing. In general, post Coolsculpting neuropathic pain lasts about 14 days. The most effective treatments...
Can CoolSculpting be done after having had lipo in an area?
Can coolsculpting be done after Lipo?
Feb 24, 2017
Great question Lulu10! Coolsculpting is fantastic for evening out lumps & bumps post liposuction. I myself did this at my office after a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) & am very happy with the results. Unfortunately, liposuction often does not leave the smooth figure we desire & Coolsculpting has become a wonderful modality to noninvasively fix the inconsistencies. I recommend you see an experienced Coolsculpting provider. They should provide a free comprehensive consult...
I had 30 lines with the 3.0 transducer on my brow and 60 with the 3.0 on my lazy brow Ulthera. Is
Excessive Ultherapy treatment on brow/ forehead?
Feb 24, 2017
Thank you for the question ultheradent, my office has been doing Ultherapy for several years now, so we have experience with this modality. While 60 lines is more than usual, it's not unheard of. However, I am surprised they were able to use the 3.0 transducer as this area is usually very bony. Most patients do not have the depth of tissue to use more than the 1.5 transducer. Given this & the aggressive number of lines, I'm not surprised you are having side effects. The welts...
