Acne marks and dark spots by acne not fading away? Why?
Acne marks and dark spots by acne not fading away? Why?
Apr 21, 2016
The inflammatory process of acne could destroy dermal collagen and disrupt pigment cells (melanocytes).  A stronger and deeper inflammatory reaction could cause scar formation and/or induce post-inflammatory pigmentation (PIH), especially in dark skin individuals.  When such events happened and conventional treatments failed, one may need professional advice on possible use of laser intervention or light based devices.
