Should I Have Hard Scar Tissue Cut from my Lip? Worried About Further Scarring.
Time is your friend
Dec 17, 2012
Time is your friend here, but intralesional injection of steroids will help to make this go away more quickly. I would want to make sure that you don’t have a foreign body reaction here, that is, a piece of dirt or foreign substance in the lip that is aggravating the problem.

Good luck!

Q-switch on Lip Sun Spot?
Q switched laser can be very helpful for lip pigmentation.
Dec 17, 2012
The Q-switched laser can be very helpful for dark sun related patches on the lips. And these do turn dark after laser treatment for a week or so, until they crust and fall off. It’s critical to make the right diagnosis first though, as conditions like melanoma can appear like this. See your dermatologist!

Any Treatment for Scar on Child’s Nose?
Time is your friend
Dec 17, 2012
Thank you. Time is really your friend here. But if these changes persist, you might consider the Fraxel laser. This builds up collagen, helps with texture and color changes.

Treat Scar for 7 Years Girl with 10 Stitches on Her Forehead 3 Years Ago and 3 Stitches Last
Fraxel lasers will help healing/scarring
Dec 17, 2012
Best to treat early with fractionated laser (Fraxel Restore or Repair), maybe 3-5 treatments. Old scars can also be helped, but sometimes best results are to treat as early as one week.

Thank you

Is there a filler which promotes cells to grow back?
All fillers induce spontaneous fibroblast healing
Jun 10, 2010
Yes, indeed. All fillers, not just the ones considered 'biostimulatory' will induce increased fibroblast activity with new collagen formation. Hence subscission without fillers also works, and the price is right!

Time is a great healer
Jun 10, 2010
Time is a great healer. But in the meantime, lasers, intralesional steroids, and similar can assist.  Avoid further outbreaks by taking anti HS medication the moment you notice a fever blister coming on.
