Sorry to hear of your skin reaction, but from what you describe this is almost certainly a result of the medicated skincare you are applying rather than botox. I would recommend cutting down on the “active” products (retinol based/tretinoin) until the skin settles.

As other injectors have mentioned, botox can help to change the volume/appearance of ones lips. However this is not the gold standard in my opinion, I would recommend for you to consider dermal filler injections. Filler will provide a far better longer lasting result.

Lip fuller prices vary enormously, at Skin Science Clinic we charge £320 for 1 syringe of Juvederm Volift. I would not underestimate the importance of the quality of the product as well as the injector.
How much will I reduce my chances of swelling with a cannula for lips?

This is a very good question! I have injected lips with both needles and cannula and I genuinely do not feel there is a significant difference with post op swelling between the two. In my opinion needles are better as they provide razor sharp accuracy, and have personally moved away from cannulas when performing lip augmentation.
I think it may be better for you to arrange your procedure on a Friday so you have a couple of days to recover? Please do not hesitate to ask any further…

Thanks for your question, Im not quite sure what you mean by “longer”, however dermal filler can give the appearance of a smaller and straighter nose. The filler would be injected at different points of the nose, allowing light to reflect/bounce of the skin texture in an “illusion” for it to look smaller. Nose fillers do pose their risks so please seek consultation with an experienced practitioner.

From my experience antibiotic running through the bloodstream would have no effect whatsoever on botox injections.

The effect of the botox injections on the masseter will almost certainly wear off over a 6 month period (maximum). However botox injections in the masseter muscles should not effect the volume of the cheeks. If anything, the cheeks here are the same size but appear larger due to your now slimmer lower face.
