I do see many men with this type of line in my practice. It is caused by a combination of anatomical factors, and a combined approach is often needed to address the issue. I use botulinum toxins such as Botox and Dysport, combined with hyaluronic acid fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm. It takes about 4 weeks for the cell turnover to complete on the skin of the face, so I find 4 weeks to be the ideal interval to allow the skin to recover but also contribute most effectively to the collagen remodeling process. In the future, a maintenance treatment once a year, ideally after the summer, is recommended to help maintain the results. In addition, skin care products that contribute to continuous cell turnover and light chemical peels are recommended as maintenance.
