After graduating with his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Dr. Rahimi received his medical degree from George Washington University. He then completed an internship at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) Medical Center, before fulfilling his dermatology residency in New York City at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

His fellowship training in Newport Beach, California (which was certified by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery) altered the course of his career. During this time, Dr. Rahimi witnessed a woman undergo a simple cosmetic procedure, only to face serious health complications due to an adverse reaction to anesthesia. She ended up fighting for her life, which shocked Dr. Rahimi and forever changed the way he thought about cosmetic surgery. He knew there had to be a better approach.

It was then that Dr. Rahimi became incredibly passionate about minimally invasive procedures. “Less invasive is better. Local anesthesia and mild sedation are all that are ever needed,” he says. Dr. Rahimi’s happy patients know that his approach yields beautiful (yet safe) outcomes. “Patients want to look like their best selves, not someone else,” he says.

Dr. Rahimi is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the American Society of Dermatological Surgery.

Thank you for your submission. Sculptra gradually promotes production of collagen and elastic fibers. You would benefit from 2 or 3 sessions over a few months. This should result in a nice mid-face lift and volume replenishment. There is also a small amount of excess skin under the yes. Venus Viva nano fractional RF does not emit any laser or light and generally speaking no eye shield is required. I sometimes do use a laser eye shield to cover the eyebrows so that the heat generated by the handpiece does not cause a superficial burn of the hair. The shield is also handy in pulling the lower lids up over the globe so that I can go close to the bony ridge and treat the skin under the eyes. I hope this was helpful
