What can I do to improve the look of the fine lines underneath my eyes?
Microbotox for Under Eye Lines
May 15, 2016
Hi Girl83Thanks for your question.  The pictures are a bit close but I think there are two great options for you.  I love doing a low dose form of botox, that I’ve coined microbotox, under the eyes.  It really helps with those early under eye crinkles.  Another option would be a resurfacing laser treatment such as Profractional.  I think those are better options than chemical peels. All the best,Dr. Carroll
Can a chiropractic physician perform Botox/ dermal filler injections in the state of Arkansas?
Injectors should have Core Training in Cosmetic Medicine
May 15, 2016
Thanks for your interesting question.  First of all, chiropractors are not physicians, they are chiropractors.  Secondly, whether they are able to inject or not is irrelevant.  When choosing your injector you should look for a physician who studied cosmetic medicine in their their residency, i.e. it should be core training.  This would include dermatologists and plastic surgeons.
Restylane or Juvederm for LIPS?
When it comes to cosmetic procedures, it’s the painter not the paint.
Apr 15, 2016
Hi Miss BBGUNI think you are a great candidate for lip augmentation.  It’s unfortunate that the doctors you are seeing are not giving you clear, confident advice.  There are definitely differences between Juvederm and Restylane but it’s the injector that is the most important part.  I use both products and get fabulous results with both. Sometimes we even combine products.  So I would look for a board-certified dermatologist who performs a lot of lip injections and let them decide which pro…

Tear Troughs Should Always Be Underfilled
Apr 13, 2016
Hi ForeverRealThanks for your question.  From the pictures it looks to me like the product was placed too low and perhaps too much was injected. But, if you just had them done you may want to wait a week or two until the swelling goes down. They may look much better after that. When I correct tear troughs I aim to correct them to 70%.  There are two reasons for this, partially because you usually get water absorption into the product which can then lead to over correction.  Also, my sty…

Belotero with a Microcannula
Apr 11, 2016
Hi sheridan1308Thanks for your question and the photos.  Based on your photos I think you would be an excellent patient for treatment of the tear toughs.  A little goes a long way in this area. In order to have a safe, even injection I use a microcannula. It’s also great for minimizing bruising.  Your best option is to seek a thorough consultation from a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in fillers.  All the best,Dr. Carroll
Ways to make lower face slimmer? Is Botox on masseter muscles the only way?
Many Options to Narrow a Face
Apr 9, 2016
Everyone is unique but there are a number of options to narrow a face or more specifically balance a face.  Botox is an excellent option to shrink a bulky masseter muscle but this must be done with caution or you can end up with sagging skin in the area.  Other options include augmenting the mid face and temples to balance the face.  Strengthening the chin can also improve the appearance of a wide lower face.  Your best option is to seek the consult of an expert injector dermatologist to…

Combining Fillers May Increase Longevity
Apr 9, 2016
It’s difficult to say but in my experience when one filler is added to another it generally lasts longer. Hope your does!Dr. C
