This is probably due to the drying effects of isotretinoin. It’s called cheilitis which is inflammation of the lips. A dermatologist can treat this with a skin barrier relief cream and a low strength cortisone cream.

If you missed isotretinoin for 3 days, you don’t need to worry. Just resume your normal schedule. You don’t need to catch up.

Sometimes a product that contains tretinoin such as Stieva can cause you to break out initially. Stopping it may cause the breakout to go away. Resuming Stieva may cause you to breakout again. Acne scars are treated with lasers, dermabrasion, and fillers.
