Would Botox help these wrinkles I get from smiling in corners of my eyes?
Would Botox help?
Nov 16, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  It is very hard to tell from the picture but lines from the cheeks elevating usually occur on the lower part of the crows feet lines.  Usually inexperienced injectors are not aware of this so if an injector warned you about these at your consultation they likely knew what they were doing.  Botox around the eyes is usually not very expensive, so you could try it there and if you don't like it, not do it again.  Usually cheek lines around the eyes are also imp...
Will laser resurfacing help eliminate 11 lines?
Alternative treatment for frown lines
Nov 16, 2019
Hi and thanks for the question.  Although possible, it is very uncommon to get a bad reaction to Botox or Dysport in the frown area.  Assuming that is the case I would strongly consider using a little filler to the area.  Done by an experienced injector it is not a dangerous procedure and it usually improves the area considerably.  Laser resurfacing is a big deal and it might be "too much punishment for the crime" to treat the frown lines.  Good luck
Under eye fillers: what results can I expect?
Love that mosquito bite!
Aug 16, 2019
Hi and thanks for the question.  Your mosquito bite happened to cause the perfect amount of swelling but it is hard to duplicate that with another bite or with filler or other treatments.  Under eye lines can be improved, sometimes, with Botox.  Hollows under the eyes can be improved with fillers but neither will cause crepey skin to resolve completely.  Other treatments such as laser resurfacing and microneedling improve stuff but I have to tell you that you look young and pretty in your ...
Is tattoo excision relevant for me?
Hi and thanks for your question
Aug 16, 2019
After the area heals you could consider a different tattoo laser for the removal which should be effective.  There are several.  The tattoo is small enough to excise and a staged excision (done in two sessions) should decrease the length of the scar to a degree.  There is generally more than enough skin on the hand to do this and the area will heal OK but not great.  Good luck
What is considered too much filler?
How much is too much
Aug 16, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  Filler (of which fat is a filler) does not stretch out the skin!  The amount needed really depends on the correction that is needed.  Three or four syringes could be perfect or too much.  Probably you are best off finding a provider that you trust and feel comfortable with and ask them.  You can also do the correction in stages and have a conservative amount injected and then do more if you want at a later time. Good luck
Can a shaved mole come back years later?
Can a mole recur
Aug 11, 2019
The simple answer is yes.  When a mole is shaved off, only the portion above the skin is removed.  The part that is left below skin level can recur even years later and the recurrence generally has nothing to do with sun exposure.  You can leave it alone, have it reshaved, or even excise it (have it cut out).
Need a chin filler estimate: How many syringes of filler would it take to achieve this result?
Fix my prejowl sulcus and chin!
Jul 1, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  It is a hard question to answer without seeing a picture of you but generally one syringe of filler would be used for the prejowl sulcus and one in the chin.  That is assuming that your cheeks are good.  Find a provider and discuss it with them.
What else besides Botox should I try for my static frown lines?
Frown lines at rest
Jul 1, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  Botox alone, given some time, should greatly improve and probably eliminate those lines.  If you want to speed the process up, adding a little hyaluronic acid based filler (eg Juvederm) in addition to Botox should do the trick although it obviously makes it more expensive. Good luck
Can my 5-inch long tattoo be removed by surgery?
Removing a tattoo
Jun 25, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  The tattoo could be removed surgically (excised) but there woiuld be a significant scar involved.  My guess is that the outcome would be better if it was removed with laser even though the laser would require several sessions and likely be a more expensive treatment.  Good luck
I have hyponatremia. Can I still have Botox or fillers?
Low sodium and Botox
Jun 25, 2019
I have never been asked that before!  To the best of my knowledge, having hyponatremia would not effect a Botox treatment and a Botox treatment would not effect hyponatremia.  Obviously, regardless of your decision, the etiology/cause of your hyponatremia needs to be evaluated.Have a nice summer
What are your suggestions to permanently get rid of my static lines?
Help my frown
May 19, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  You do have deep frown lines and when you see them when your frown is at rest, Botox can be very effective. To completely get rid of them you frequently might need to use a filler (eg Juvederm) in addition initially but then over time, if you continue just the Botox, you should be great!Good luck
Is there a risk to having Botox under the eye?
Is Botox under the eyes OK?
May 19, 2019
Oy-you have gotten a lot of different opinions so far!  Don't forget the truism that the good news about Botox is that if you don't like it, it goes away and the bad news is that if you like it, it also goes away...If you have gotten it under the eyes and it has worked well for you then why would you stop?  Your provider uses a higher dose than I use but that doesn't make him wrong.  In my hands about 20% of patients get a little puffiness from it that goes away in several weeks and it is a ...
Can Botox treat eyelid wrinkles?
Please help me Botox!
May 19, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  Generally when a wrinkle happens all of a sudden it is usually the husband/boyfriends fault-but don't worry.  A little Botox to the eyes should be very effective for the lines that I see in the photograph.  Your provider should be able to fix this very easily.Good luck
Jeuveau - will it work if Botox has stopped working on me?
Will Jeuveau work if Botox doesn't?
May 19, 2019
Hi and thanks for you question.  It is difficult to answer as most providers have just gotten Jeuveau to begin using and have not seen patients in follow up, but...  It doesn't really make sense that Botox has stopped working.  Perhaps you need it in different areas.  Have you addressed your concerns with your provider or considered getting a second opinion from another provider.  You can try Jeuveau and see if it works better for you but most of the studies have shown it to be very simi...
Tear Trough Fillers: how do you know your physician is using a fresh product?
I want an experienced provider with fresh product
Apr 20, 2019
Hi and thanks for your question.  I don't think that there is a mechanism to tell how many procedures your provider has done-other than reputation and recommendations from patients that have seen them.  If the provider has a good reputation, I would also assume that he is using a product that hasn't expired although I guess you could ask to see the label from the box that he is going to use (I have never been asked for this although would be happy to provide it).  I would consider doing a co...
