Coolsculpting Saddlebags Reviews
CoolSculpting uses freezing technology to target unwanted areas of fat and permanently destroy fat cells. There is a CoolSculpt applicator that is ideal for patients who complain of issues with fat on the outer thigh, that forms saddlebags.
The results of the treatment are wonderful, patients are highly satisfied. It is ideal if you contact a CoolSculpting office near you to request a consultation with a physical exam to determine what is best for you. (Linda Cecilia Honet, MD, Bloomfield Hills Dermatologic Surgeon)
We have a great deal of patients who treat their saddle bags with Coolscupting with excellent results.
We typically combine this procedure with Thermage to help with skin tightening. (Michele S. Green, MD, New York Dermatologist)
Zeltiq COOLSCULPTING sometimes works on saddlebags but the treated area must fit into the hand piece.
There are currently 3 hand piece sizes but not every office has all 3 so ask when you call. Coolsculpting uses suction to hold the treated area inside the hand piece and if a good suction can’t be obtained then it won’t work.
Saddlebags may or may not fit so when we do a consult in my office we sometimes put the patient on the machine and test the suction, without actually doing the treatment. We can then tell if a patient would be a good candidate for a treatment.
Zeltiq works great for the right candidate (not too heavy, not just loose skin) and if your saddlebags “fit”, it would probably work well for you. (Lorrie Klein, MD, Laguna Niguel Dermatologic Surgeon)
The Zeltiq CoolSculpting has been used successfully in my practice on saddle bags. I have found though, that different patients need the applicator to be positioned differently, and often diagonally to fit better.
For a non-invasive procedure it works well but of course, it’s not the same thorough fat reduction as liposuction would provide. (Ronald Shelton, MD, Manhattan Dermatologic Surgeon)
Zeltiq CoolSculpting is effective for spot fat reduction.
Saddlebags can be treated with CoolSculpting in some cases. The key is that you need to be able to “pinch and inch” or more. In otherwords, the handpiece draws the “fat” in and chills the fat.
Sometimes the fat is too firm and will not be drawn into the handpiece sufficiently to treat the area. You will need to be examined by a CoolSculpting provider to know whether you are a candidate. (Susan Van Dyke, MD, Paradise Valley Dermatologic Surgeon)
CoolSculpting by Zeltiq works for saddlebags, and may help correct their asymmetry.
In my practice we performed nearly 900 Zeltiq treatments in the last 12 months. It is a very effective treatment to completely non invasively remove excess fat and fat bulges.
We have had great success with saddlebags. We have had several patients with asymmetry in the size of their saddlebags, and this has been successfully corrected by performing one additional cycle or procedure on the more prominent saddlebag.
If the saddlebags can be easily suctioned and fitted in the applicator, they will respond nicely to the treatment. I advise you to also check if your doctor has all three applicators so the right size can be applied to your saddlebags. (Leyda Elizabeth Bowes, MD (not practicing), Miami Dermatologic Surgeon)
Coolsculpting for saddle bags on thighs
It is true Coolsculpting works excellent for reducing fat bulges. Many surgeons use it to treat saddle bags and it works however my recommendation would be to wait until Zeltiq releases the thigh chamber addressing thigh fat. (Steven Hacker, MD, West Palm Beach Dermatologic Surgeon)
Improving outer thighs
Coolsculpting can be done here as well as Vanquish. Best results are with the Vaser but there will be some downtime, but not much.
Cellulite is treated with Cellfina +/- Sculptra. (Steven F. Weiner, MD, Panama City Facial Plastic Surgeon)
Coolsculpting for outer thighs
The CoolSmooth applicator was designed specifically to treat the saddle bags and will work very well to reduce the stubborn fat in this area.
Coolsculpting is truly non-invasive and there is no downtime. I highly recommend visiting an office in your area for your Coolsculpting consultation soon! (Michael E. Ciaravino, MD, Houston Plastic Surgeon)
Treatment of saddle bags
Ideally, an examination of you would be needed to determine your treatment options for your saddle bags. CoolSculpting, SculpSure and liposuction are methods available for fat reduction to localized areas, but they all will only reduce fat and not scar tissue.
If your saddle bags are mainly due to scar tissue, you may not be a good candidate for any of these treatments. (Michael I. Echavez, MD, San Francisco Facial Plastic Surgeon)
