CoolSculpting For The Mons Pubis

Treating the mons pubis is not currently an approved area though some physicians may choose to treat it on a case by case basis. (John Bergeron, MD, Houston Physician)

While off label coolsculpting has been used on the mons pubis with good results. (Jean M. Casello, MD, Northborough Physician)

Currently, CoolSculpting the mons pubis is considered off label and is not recommended by Allergan. That being said, even if it was I think you would have some skin laxity afterwards and the mons may hang even more. This would be the same case with liposuction as well. My recommendation with be to consider having an abdominoplasty and have your surgeon debulk the mons area during the surgery. (Patrick L. Basile, MD, Jacksonville Plastic Surgeon)

Mons Pubis Reduction

Coolsculpting for public mound.

We are a Coolsculpting clinic so in theory yes if the area of fat is big enough, however this area is usually small and the suction on the device would be painful. For small areas of fat when you are looking for a non-surgical procedure we offer Aqualyx or if you are in the USA Kybella off licence its an injectable treatment that breaks down fat. (Victoria Dobbie, BDS, Edinburgh Dentist)

Lot of people want to get that area treated. Coolsculpting can absolutely be done in that area as long as we are able to feel and pull the fat. The best determination would be after a consultation but short answer yes it can be done to treat the pubic area fat. (Ramandeep Sidhu, MD, Issaquah Vascular Surgeon)

The answer is yes. CoolSculpting is great at removing stubborn fat. Treatments can be done at multiple locations. Now with newer and smaller applicators, more areas can be treated. I recommend seeing a CoolSculpting certified practice for a proper consultation and see if you are a good candidate to CoolSculpting. (Alain Michon, MD, Ottawa Physician)

CoolSculpting is quite effective in reducing fat in multiple locations. To be effective, the fat in the area must be contained within the handpiece or applicator. If the applicator can be adequately applied to the area, it should work well.

Please seek consultation with an experienced board certified Plastic Surgeon. (Janet Turkle, MD, Indianapolis Plastic Surgeon)
