Coolsculpting Compression Garment
Are compressions garments necessary after CoolSculpting?
The use of compressions garments are not necessary with CoolSculpting. One of the many nice things about the CoolSculpting procedure is that the post operative management is so minimal. This includes having no downtime, minimal discomfort in most cases, and the lack of need to wear or do anything. (Ted Brezel, MD, Long Island Dermatologic Surgeon)
There is no solid evidence that compression garments after coolsculpting have any effect on outome. Thus I would discuss with your surgeon if you decide to do this. (Steven Hacker, MD, West Palm Beach Dermatologic Surgeon)
Compression after Zeltiq isn’t necessary
Compression garments after Zeltiq Coolsculpting are really not necessary for a good result nor do they speed up the process of cell death or elimination. If you have some swelling in the area initially or you feel more comfortable with a compression garment on then by all means go ahead and wear one.
And as for keeping the skin tight, we have actually seen the skin in treated areas tighten on its own quite nicely after treatment. (Grant Stevens, MD, Los Angeles Plastic Surgeon)
No need for Compression Garments after CoolSculpting
CoolSculpting works completely different from liposuction. For that reason, compression garments are not necessary or useful after the treatment.
In liposuction, there is immediate removal of fat tissues, that could fill up with fluid it is not compressed down to the underlying tissue to eliminate that potential space.
With CoolSculpting, the fat undergo a slow natural cell death over the course of several weeks, so there is no potential space created that could fill up with fluid. (Kent V. Hasen, MD, Naples Plastic Surgeon)

We find that patients feel more comfortable following the treatment when wearing a compression garment. We also. (Michael Law, MD, Raleigh-Durham Plastic Surgeon)
Generally speaking, compression garments are not necessary when Coolsculpting, but I feel that because some patients experience abdominal pains following treatments, particularly with the CoolMax applicators, I recommend they use a compression garment for the first 1-2 weeks.
At my practice in London & Harpenden, UK, I recommend the Macom Medical compression garments items 4012. (Ravi Jain, MBBS, London Physician)

Most people say you dont need compression, I tell people that up to 6 weeks may be helpful if you had significan swelling and bruising. (Jason Emer, MD, Los Angeles Dermatologic Surgeon)
Compression wear after CoolSculpting
